The dark clouds are gathering, I’m afraid.
Well PLOT, that’s your theory out of the window !
Given that Jonesy was outspoken in favour of joining the Latics, makes me wonder what he knows that we don’t !This is all going down the pan at an alarming rate
I think this whole betting rumour needs covert investigation because the very fact that none of their actions appear logical, begs the question what was their real motivation to put us into administration at such short notice (when other major decisions appear to take forever), rather than secure our Championship status and have a better chance of recovering more revenue out of a better planned administration.
Parry should explain how he was aware of the betting rumour in the first instance. There is no smoke without fire !!!
How bad is that, it’s now been confirmed that Way contacted Administrators enquiring about putting the club into administration the day before he became majority shareholder.
Surely this info should have been given straight to the EFL and in turn they should have acted to stop him taking over, unfit.
I’m still shocked how it all panned out. The independent appeals panel were even told about D.Royle been suspended due to refusing to vote on the club going into administration.
We have been well and truly let down by both the EFL and the appeals panel. If we ever get back to normal and allowed back in to the Stadium, in our first live televised game I suggest everyone sings for the whole of the game
“FCUK THE EFL” Let them vvankers know and the country how we feelYep; plus flags, banners, t shirts and a plane circling the DW with a giant drogue !
I’ve seen a post on one of the latics Facebook pages that former Swansea owner Huw Jenkins has been shown around the stadium today & is looking at getting back into the game.
Well he won’t need introducing to Grahame Jones; so two and two could make four !
Might not be a bad shout !
He had a look at Charlton in May, this year.Although the above might just be a pile of steaming hot stuff cows make if no new potential owners take over soon the admins will 10000% start to listen to offers from the ground to the towels up Euxton. Never forget, it’s all about paying creditors off. They don’t let emotion rule their heads. If they did they wouldn’t last 30 seconds in this game.
Don’t worry; a while ago someone commented that Disney should make a film about the life and times of Wigan Athletic, the biggest “little club” in the World. Maybe they are going to put a bid in !!! I wish !!!
Don’t think it is theres to sell anymore
That in itself would be an illegal move; since the club is in the hands of the administrator and the Chinese can’t just dip in and interfere with the process.
Think it also demonstrates that Pollard is not in the running for making a bid in it’s entirety and he’s now desperate to get his hands on the stadium. So much for his one sporting town crap !!!
The silence from the administrators Is deafening
They all talk a good game; so it’s worrying that they are not blowing their weekly bugle !
Two totally different cases.
The issues with ours are:
A – The owner cited covid as the reason which is surely force majeure. B – If they deem it not to be then seeing as he buggered off after 3 weeks, how was he fit and proper and why should we pay for the EFLs cock upSpot on Adam; just proves how inept or bent the EFL are !
Time the bent corrupted efl was dragged to the streets and showed it’s not all about the elite teams it’s about small clubs with genuine fans.
I agree Bluey, football used to be built from the bottom up; now it’s all about the top down (trouble is, not much filters down !) I hate this modern football era !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’d be watching rugby only if he buys it. He wants the ground not the club, we’d be with Bury
In which case if Koukash buys it (a St Helens fan), he should put the Cuckoo’s rent up as his first job.
I’m with Bullit; Lenagan doesn’t appeal to me at all, and I might just vote with my feet because I cannot see anything in it other than Lenagan’s self interest. I remain to be convinced !
I really don’t think we’ll win the appeal if I’m honest. Or if we do we’ll probably get 1 point back.
Now then, young Adam Egg; the way I see it is this: our appeal was based upon the Pandemic and thus the Force Majeure claim. If this has now been substantiated by the Chinese owner and we lose our case, then any future FM Covid claim by any club during this crisis will have to be knocked back as well; which really makes it pointless having a Force Majeure clause in the first instance. We could well see an epidemic of clubs in real difficulty through no fault of there own making. I think that a reduced points deduction is a realistic outcome that shows that penalty has been applied, but with a measure of leniency given the circumstances. That way, it doesn’t set the precedent that Covid cannot be considered in an FM claim.
Hope you are right, Cup Winners !
Yes, we all know that it’s dodgy; but my point is there is no evidence, so does this actually strengthen the case for a claim of Force Majeure ?
Given that this is obviously not a normal set of circumstances that lead a club into administration, you would think that the EFL might save judgement until some evidence is uncovered and sentence can be determined with a good level of certainty. I mean, the EFL are highly unlikely to rescind our punishment at a later date.
Yes Ste, I completely agree !
We are the victim and the FA / EFL should show it’s support by helping us through this extraordinary set of circumstances. -
