Certainly was. Personally thought we played ok. James mom for me. Not much different to how we’ve played all season to be honest. Jacobs is below par and seems to want a dozen touches when you’ve got to do it first time. Powell in 2nd gear and that’s been good enough all year but now we need him in at least third gear. Massey is just shite.
The only downside to the evening was that utterly shite Noel Gallagher song they played at halftime! Sounded like Abba, absolute garbage!Nearly as bad as the referee
Thought Power was excellent in Powell’s position closely followed by both full backs.
Great story.
Looks like Cookies read this thread. Got to say that’s the team i woyld have picked too so god help us
Probably need to be four as can’t see Powell making it. Not sure I’d stick Roberts in. Could stick with Massey and play Jacobs just behind.
Bit harsh that JR. Agree with you on the strikers options but think Jones has done really well as a back up keeper. All the top teams keepers dont have a lot to do but Sign of a good keeper is they do there job when called upon. Think he’s done that to be honest. Having said that i believe Walton was due back end of November so Jones more than good enough until then.
Opportunity missed though with Blackburn and Bradford drawing. We could have put some daylight between us and the rest except the Shrews.Or an opportunity missed BY Blackburn and Bradford.
Draw away Win at home we won’t be much shy of 100 points. Think that may just be enough.
The officials were poor, but in the end, they saved us with that handball in our penalty area near the end. No doubt the Northampton equivalent of this site are equally as disappointed in the standard of reffing.
Didn’t we get a free kick from that handball incident?[/quote]
Indeed we did – which just goes to show how bad the ref was!

Free kick was for the push on Dan Burn which unbalanced him and caused the handball, hence the free kick to us. Good decision. To be honest I’ve seen a lot worse officials than those on Tuesday.
Be no need for this discussion if we had line technology. Disgrace when teams are spending 100m on players and the amount of money being pumped in by tv, should be filtered down the leagues to pay for it.
I don’t know much about employment law or what is in the report they’ve sacked him for but apparently they knew of this report when they employed him. Surely you can’t be sacked from your current role for something you did wrong in your previous job 4 years in if you declared this at the start? They also state there’s nothing in it to stop any future employment in football. So why sack him then?
That liner gave two throw ins which didn’t look over the line and then the goal which did look over he gave the easy decision. It’s mad league one doesn’t have goalline technology
Hope Barnett has one of those Bramble games we know he’s capable of
The contradictions in this post are staggering. Must try harder Kev to wind people up.
Watched non league footy but objected to league one.
Earns £77 per hour but won’t spend £58 on a game
3 hours work would have bought the season ticket in the first place.
Fear for his business if he can’t work out that’s a good deal even missing a handful of games.
By the way i wouldn’t get out of bed for 77 quid an hour
Didn’t boo or clap but actually thought it was more of a sarcastic comical boo to be honest to make a point and move on!
Don’t think it will be repeated
