Our entire history I take it you mean the years we have been in the football league .It’s a bit difficult trying to get promoted to the Championship from the Northern Premier League. We were prevented from entering the football league until 1978 by the old boys network (re election ) otherwise ,I have no doubt our record would be better than Rotherham’s.
He’s a reasonable signing for a club aspiring to improve on their 20th place finish one point above the relegation zone in the 3rd division.
You mean a club who worked a miracle maintaining their Division 1 status after unfairly being placed into administration and relegated by the EFL.A club who lost a whole squad of players before the season started , a club who started the season using academy players and free transfers ,a club that still managed to do the double over the Mackems , yes he is a reasonable signing , a signing in fact Sunderland would have liked to have made themselves.
Another enjoyable game against Preston. The team starting to take shape.I like the look of Whatmough and Naylor,Wyke needs service ,Sunderland fans did warn us! Good performances throughout the whole team. Man of the match for me Max Power ,never thought I would say this but his passing was excellent tonight.Just great being back at the stadium again watching live football.

Noticed the new Warriors sign on the west stand , I take it we are still waiting for the Latics one. The one there at the moment has completely faded and needs replacing. Overall , a good work out ,felt a bit weird being back in the stadium after so long ,looking forward to Friday.
The more I think about his wages, the more concerned I now become. I hope our new owners know what they are doing & we don’t end up like our neighbours.
Glad you share my concerns Runcorn.I really don’t want to be a kill joy but I definitely don’t want us to be in the same position we were in in a couple of years time.I would have been more than happy with sensible recruitment with a mid table finish and build slowly from that within our budget.I might just be panicking for no good reason ,hope so !
Hope you are right but its the contract I am worried about.Apparently £10,000 a week. We need to sign more players are they going to be asking for the same ? Before we know it the wage structure will be unsustainable for a club at our level. I might just be panicking after nightmare we have all just endured over the last twelve months .
Hope the new owners know what they are doing.Still mentally scarred from the last twelve months was sort of hoping we would be a bit more prudent with our transfer dealings.Seems a hell of a lot of money for this level.
Not before time ,the east stand was turning green.
Has anyone checked with Barnsley as to which club they think should go down?
Wycombe have asked Barnsley to represent them at the next hearing.
The EFL are making it look like they might implement a points deduction on Derby with the interchangeable fixtures with Wycombe .In reality they have no intention but they have to make it look as though they are coming down hard clubs who are cheating.
Poor game but we have four points from two games I would have taken that at the start of the tournament. It only really gets interesting in the knock out stages let’s see what these players are made of then. Come on England !
Well, I suppose if you sign Kane, then Max will be able to point as to where he wants him to make a run before he whallops the pass into touch/an opponent/20 yards in the wrong direction.
Lower-end 3rd division at best these days. I hope he’s not your marquee signing…..
Max Power will never be the most technically gifted player .He is that snappy type of midfielder ,enthusiastic and a grafter .A type of player that every successful team needs.I strongly suspect at Sunderland he was let down by more ‘ gifted ‘ players who could not live up to playing for such a ‘ huge ‘ club.
