The OP could have renewed as an adult for £249 as he stated that he’s been a ST holder every season bar the last 3rd tier campaign. If he’s got a grandkid, then he may even be at the £219 OAP rate. Either way, the kid’s ST would have been free had he bought one at the outset.
£498 or less for three to watch a whole season (less two games) is very good value.
Yes. There’ll be a few ST holders attended their first home game of the season yesterday because they were on holiday for the Bury game, and at Wembley for the Pompey game.
I don’t think it was just Power who was an integral part of the 16/17 failures and fiascos. Several players as well as some Board / Management who hired RUBBISH coaches / managers. But I’m struggling to think of anyone other than Power on the playing front from last season who openly implied they were too good to play 3rd division football this season.
The Huws incident has left a sour taste in some supporters’ mouths, and to then have an average player who was plucked from non-league football tell you that he’s too good to play 3rd tier (when he’s only had one 2nd tier season, and a poor one at that) is at best confusing, and at worst downright disrespectful.

We’ve only played 2 home league games before today – a ST would still have worked out much cheaper had you bought it in the summer.

As JR said, the difference with Huws is he got crocked and then watched helplessly as the side fell through the trap door. He had a right to feel slightly hard-done too, whereas Power was an integral part of the failures of 16/17.
We beat Shrewsbury 5-1 at their place 18 months ago. But that was back in the day when Will Grigg was on fire and we had a £9m parachute payment to bankroll our promotion charge.
Its a lot tougher in this league when its a level playing field.
I imagine Cookie wasn’t looking forward to this one with only two of his regulars certain to get call ups, and Grigg a million miles away from international duty.

I see on the official page that over 1000 tickets sold for MK Dons, but nothing seems to have been said about how many ST’s have been sold. Is it normal not to announce it, or is it only announced after the first home game?

These clowns should have submitted transfer requests the day after the season had ended instead of waiting almost three months until pre-season is finished and the start of the league season is a week away.
They are disruptive influences who should fuck off sharpish. Even allowing them to train with the reserves is too kind for them.

True, but it was also a weekend where Man Utd also played here, so supporters had two chances to see top class players, whereas this year it was Liverpool or nothing. Plenty folk said they would go to one or the other, but not both. Whilst 12,000+ is a cracking attendance for a friendly, it is also a sign that the optimism of last July when Will Grigg was on fire and we’d pissed League 1 is not as prevalent.
Possibly the best crowd of the season tonight.
