I’m sick of having to defend Mr Whelan on here. We were days away from going out of business had he not bought us out. We were at the bottom of the abyss yet he took us on the the most amazing journey. The Wigan Athletic story is the greatest football story ever told because of Dave Whelan, try to remember that before you slag him off next time eh?.
& sadly nuneaton, there lies the problem. I suspect a lot of our supporters still regard us a premier league club. Our journey had to end at some point, in much the same way the journey as ended at clubs like oldham, portsmouth, maybe bradford. Clubs like ourselves who once graced the premier league, but now find themselves at the lower end of the football ladder. As long as i have a football club to support until the day i die, irrespective what league it is in, i will be happy.
As for the title thread. Joyce has to go IMO. His tactics clearly are not working. Unless he wakes up & decides to go for it.
We need to do just that. Remember the pre match support of the team in the premiership dark days that worked to an extent, lets get that or something similar going again.Maybe 90 songs in 90 mins a la Blackpool away is a fair shout as well, but some of the cleverer boys might have a better suggestion.
At home especially more positive support is needed so this is a rallying call to all non plastics to get behind the team. We as supporters can help save the season.Here here!! A very good shout.

Apparently Yootha was on his way to Glasgow earlier this afternoon to watch Rangers.No fans forum but can travel by train to Glasgow.

Why do we have every player in our box whilst defending a corner giving us no outlet for a quick breakTo be fair to joyce, we have been doing that since the days of bruce.
Things I remember, Latics playing football not like the fookin crud we are playing under Joyce. This has to be the most ineffective Latics team ever.IMO, its on a par with the “kenny swain” team.
