Referee was an absolute joke tonight. How he didn’t give anything for that fowl on powell right at the end beggars belief.
Definitely 10 out of 10 for young nicholls.
Sooner january comes the better for me & we can sign a decent striker. Nothing against fortue but holt?????

Jimmy saville or andy saville

in reply to: Coyle so far… #122099

He’s doing ok for me so far. Yes i know that weoccassionally resort to hoofball tactics but we have to remember what league we are in & sometimes we have to mix our style of play. Against maribor we played some lovely passing football which IMO was at times more pleasing than the football under bobby. Again IMO we are in a nice pisition in the league & when we start to fully gel as a team will soon see us climbing the table. We have 2 games in hand at the moment & win those 2, & we’re in the playoff positions.
The only negatives for me have been the signings of crainey & mccann. Mcclean i think will come good.

Didnt see that. What brought it on.

A very good historic first win in europe.
Never ever thought i’d be typing such words as a wigan fan.
Yes it went a bit nervy when they pulled a goal back but we won.

It’s because most of them haven’t got a clue about football and see things only in black and white, there is no grey. Martinez was all tippy-tappy, Coyle is all hoof-ball.

I put it down to Wigan being a rugby town
i also agree with your comment as well griff.

What the frigg is going on with our fans last four years have been anti tippi tappy in favour of a more direct approach now they get the direct approach they don’t like it ?

Completely agree 35.

Yes he was on the bench in Brugge but how is it EVERY player we buy needs 2 or 3 months to “SETTLE IN” :(

probably because it might be a culture shock from honduras to wigan. I had one when i moved from wigan to runcorn. Saying that i still get a culture shock 9 years on. :-)

Where is this Honduran full back? He can’t be that bad as he is keeping Figuerola out of the team.
Out of what team bronx. thought figeurola was at hull.

A must win game that one today. Defiinitely wasnt the best of games but a win is a win. We do need another striker though & today proved that IMO as powell for his worth isnt a striker.

& we have created yet more history in our very short time as a league club. Our first ever point in europe.

& for the benefit of our younger viewers jeff wright was the original jordi gomez. A clever player who never got the recognition.

in reply to: Look Who I Found On YouTube ! #120509

Having just watched the clip again, yes, from a fans passionate perspective on the cup win it is a funny clip & yes, we do need more passionate fans like him as opposed to our moaning gits. But as i said previous, he often came to chat to me at springfield park & i always loved his enthusiasm for his club.

You obviously don’t know young Darren ! Or perhaps you do !
I admit to not knowing his name until this morning & have only encountered him a few times since moving tp the jjb/dw stadium, but at springfield park he quite often came over to me for a chat. Still love to know whats funny about the youtube clip though.
