Well said Donny…….Big Roy’s one bell end….No sign of him when things were due. I’m man enough to heap deserved praise….and what’s his 1st post…tit.
Cook deserved to be criticised for crazy team selections, tactics etc. But, is he starting to get it right at the right time????
We’ll do a Leeds & come away with a scrawpy
0 – 1 win.I couldn’t get there in the end. Watched it on youtube. Very good all round performance I thought.
Car park N2 is freeThanks Egg!
Where is the best place to park if going by car?
Julius Agahowa
1) Moore
2) Jacobs
3) Lowe (sorry lad & no offence!)O.G. is always ready to pounce, always fit and plays a full 90 minutes. Should be first name on every fantasy team. When I used play I was a reliable O.G. every week but my teammates never appreciated it!
I was always “left back” in my playing days – in the changing rooms.
Looks like a lot more teams are being dragged into now, Boro and Huddersfield are both out of form and wouldn’t bet against some others getting involved also. After last night, a few teams have been dragged into it now. And, will now be nervously looking over their shoulders. Consider a few weeks back when there was a bit of a gap & all seemed lost. It’s that time of the season when there will be many twists & turns.
I was about to post a similar thread Lowey, until I saw yours.
I heard Cookie was resting O.G for Saturday.
Play like we did tonight until the rest of the season & we’ll be reet!!
With darf vader in charge we struggle to top league one.
One of the daftest comments on here ever. Paul Cook would struggle to top a league he’s already won. Brilliant.
If I’m Cook, and we stay up, I walk on the pitch last game show everyone my arse and walk off.
He makes mistakes but the way some of our fans are treating him is a disgrace.
Cook can’t win at the moment no matter what he does. Paul Jewell is quite rightly remembered fondly amongst those of us around during his time, but everyone seems to have forgotten his regular screaming fits at referees and 4th officials. A quick google search will give you several examples but Jewell managed back in the era when yellow cards didn’t exist though so maybe he didn’t make a disgrace of himself. Then of course there’s his regular defensive displays away at big ranking teams and his comments about us being Little Wigan punching above our weight. The players mustn’t have read the papers then though like they do now whenever Cook says something negative.
Of course Cook also shouted at referees and 4th officials in League One but we were winning games then so again everybody seemed to miss it. Maybe it was a breath of fresh air from the robotic Martinez era when he just used to stand there with his arms folded for 90 minutes regardless of decisions or performances because we didn’t like that and he was regularly criticised for it, not to mention his comments in the press about ‘positives’. Why did he not just come out and say we were rubbish like Cook does because we wouldn’t possibly criticise that would we?
Now this is not me comparing the relative successes of Jewell, Martinez and Cook but simply just a few examples of the hypocritical and fickleness of football supporters especially those that come under the WAFC banner. You can’t please a Wiganer.
Very well put Egg!!
Lowe scored loads of goals for Pompey coming in from the right.
Oh come on !!! 1st half was as bad as I’ve seen this season. Moore needs solid support and he will get better.Take the points though…..At this stage of the season fighting for our survival, points are FAR MORE IMPORTANT than performances.
