Yes & no.
I’d bring in
Jones for walton,
Elder for james
Colclough for jacobs
Power for powell
Perkins for morsy
Maybe toney for grigg. The 5 who are replaced on the bench.
There is nothing wrong with our style of play. It just needs to be done QUICKER – especially at home.
Rumours of Powell moving to Villa maybe Bryne could be a ready made replacement even though theres also rumours of him going to Hearts was it ?I really cant see any of our spine being sold on in january, unless a really SILLY amount of money is offered on the table. We are top of the league. Why disrupt anything?
Jimmy c, i have to agree with you. As frustrated as what i (& from the sound of things a few others) have been these past 2 games, the booing that i heard at the end of last nights game for a team that might i remind people is TOP OF THE LEAGUE, is despicable & embarrassing.
Jesus himself only knows what would have happened had we lost both games.
he needs service from wide.Need some pace down the flanks and striker who can put it about.I’m sure Cook will address this soonThat was my earlier point. I get so frustrated when we have someone on the ball, whether it be the flanks or in the middle, who has a chance to run at the opposition defence, but then stops dead to look for a sideways pass allowing their defence & midfield to regroup.
Wanting cook out is a bit harsh. Whatever happens today, we’ll still be top. I cant recall any club sacking their manager who is top of the league. Now that would be football gone mad.
Need more urgency & someone who can run with the ball & take it to the byline, instead of stopping dead & passing it sideways.
If teams are coming here to park the bus, we need a plan B, C etc..
Dont be too surprised if they come to park the bus.
This is a big game. Not see half these lot again till may.Hahaha!!
Is he any good.
Imagine winning the next couple of games. Some of the pack are bound to drop a couple of points here and there, so by the time Bournemouth comes along there could be quite a cushion.Dont want to be a killjoy donny, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. One game at a time.
I remembered the scunny score and the botham appearance’s but the Scarborough one had bypassed me. We have great momentum at the moment, it is one of the best things you can have in football you see it with city at the mo and we are the same in our league. You also feel it in individual games sometimes, it is something the other team cant stop. Long may it continue. If it keeps certain negative posters away, (where are they btw?) long may it continue indeed.
Didn’t know it was a record, thanks vat.Indeed it is dnr. Our first record win was versus scunthorpe when we recorded a 2 – 7 win. Not sure of the season (early 80’s without checking google), followed by the 7 – 1 win in the 96/97 season as vat mentioned.
Happy tonight yes I’ve taken a drink or two but extremely happy. For almost 50 years our amazing club has given me days like today. Yes we have had tough times and suffered but when we least expect it they gift us moments like today and break all records. What a privilege it has been to have witnessed this brilliant clubs journey and I’m certain there’s more to come. Best club best fans best times had and I wouldn’t swap my times as a Latic with anyone. C,Mon you tics.I 100% second everything you say. However, its only 39 years for me.
Bloody rubbish WiganSurely our happy souls can’t complain tonight.
I can think of one or two.
