The authorities have supposedly set up a panel to review these things on Mondays.
Apart from when its a bank holiday ;)
Stacks of empty seats and less than 65000 there.
Maybe with us playing at home fans who follow both clubs opted to stay in Wigan and go to the DW.
It certainly didn’t make any difference to our official attendance. With less than 2000 away fans the gate was up from the Bury match who brought around 1200. Yes we had slightly less home fans there today but this is probably down to the pay on the day price which was incidentally more expensive than many Wembley tickets today. INothing to do with the national rail system being on lockdown all weekend is it?
How many coaches do you think there were available in Wigan. To take the mickey out of 60 odd thousand is a bit rich when you had a conference attendance. Turning Blue :silly: :silly: :silly: Ask yourself where the other thousands of fans were today :P ;) Portsmouth brought 3,000 so that leaves 6,000 home fans and you can subtract the guaranteed attendance figures from season ticket holders so how many were really there? 4000? MASSIVE support.
I for one, don’t pay too much attention to EX supporters opinions.
I SINCERELY hope the club proves you wrong (not being funny there) because I think that would be the absolute death of this club and I doubt I’d be alone in wanting a refund. I’m keen on seeing young players come through, but not by being shoved into the mire like that.
There is a big difference between buying a car & supporting a football team & everyone knows that. If we all asked for refunds everytime the club sells a player, wigan athletic FC would have ceased to exist a long time ago.
Im with vat on this one. Stop moaning. Stop whinging & support your club.
Dave will be demanding his season ticket money back not realising that it’s ‘Buy as seen’ ! I hope the rumours are just that but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they happened!
NO I won’t. Please don’t post stuff like that about me, you don’t actually know me. None of you do.
Nobody is going bloody anywhere. Stop being like a bunch of miserable old women. We are top of the league and still you are miserable. It’s like you want the club to sell someone so you can have a good old moan and grumble.
I’ve jacked in bothering on any board now because it’s all miserable doom and gloom, nit picking at the club. I think it’s a Wiganer trait, being honest. I’m just getting on with watching the games and supporting the team.. and bloody well enjoying it!
Maybe a few of you should do the same….
Here! Here! Well said vat man
He’s off bags are packed, He’s not been played and with 1 year left can we honestly run the risk he makes a deal in Jan to go on a free in the summer /. Big clubs could afford to but not us.
And lets face it, he’s not gonna get much game time here. Me ? , cash in but make sure you got at least a loan on the radar till the Jan window opensI didn’t realize he only had 12 months left on his contract.. If true then he’s definitely off… Sure cookie will have someone else lined up?
And Jacobs is the same 1 year left. Another rumour, Powell is set to leave I just hope this ain’t true. I can fully understand we need to slash the wage bill but to not to the point were your best 2 possibly 3 players leave days before the window closes. If it does materialise then you can kiss promotion goodbye.
We’ll be slowly turning into a club full of freebie and loanee players with no on field assets left,Get your sh!t gether Sharp and put the plug back in
How about you stopping panicking about stuff that hasn’t happened and might not happen.
Ha ha ha ha ha!!
My son made his debut when he was 4 against west ham in one of martinez first games. He is now 12 & has continued to come even though he has seen relegation 3 times.
According to reports, we have rejected a bid from charlton for grigg.
If he was trying to put himself in the window, there won’t be many jumping at the chance to buy him, certainly not from anyone above our level.:) :) :)
At this moment, we don’t have to sign anybody. We signed Bogle and Mandron as up and coming players….didn’t work out.Bogle has gone and been replaced by the far more mobile, and better player, Toney. So at this moment, we are fine as we are.
I’ll have to disagree with you there vat. Should we sell grigg, then toney either gets injured or sent back to newcastle, it will leave us light in the striker department. We will have one striker left, who is almost as old as me.
I read somewhere last week that if charlton did sign him, they said that he wouldn’t necessarilly be guarenteed a starting position. Apparentely, they already have an abundance of strikers (charlton’s words not mine) ;)
I like that idea of offering champions league places to the premier league, FA cup & league cup winners ONLY!!
Teams finishing 2, 3 & 4 compete in the europa league. If a team (ie man city) wins a cup but finishes 2nd, the runners up of said cup (like they do now with the FA) then get the europa spot.
Nobody laugh! I fear it could happen to us if the whelans pull out.
Its one of the reasons why the window needs to close by 1st august.
IMO, unless the club have ready made replacements for the above 3, there is no need to sell – even in january. It all depends on the ambition of the club.
I just dread seeing jim white jumping up & down on SSN on deadline day, that wigan have accepted very late bids for nick powell, will grigg & dan burn. With no time whatsoever to replace them.
Its always way too quiet on here for my liking after a win.
