Losing Evans in the January window and not replacing him with someone comparable has been a big blow.
I think you have a good point there Sammy. I think the club were expectin McDonald back to fill that gap, but his latest set back seems to be bigger than was first thought.
I thought Evans was our best midfield player. He and Morsy complimented each other. Morsy influence has diminished since his departure and his absence is beginning to show.

Probably going through puberty.
Would have taken a point at the start, definitely taken a point at half-time and happy with a point at full-time.
To his credit the referee was determined to keep 22 players on the field and a draw was a fair result.
It’s now confirmed as Sunday 18 March 1.30 kick-off.
Just been in touch with a mate of mine down in Bristol who is a Rovers fan. Said it’s not looking good. They had a sharp frost last night and the pitch is so bad the ref made an official complaint in his report on Saturday’s game with Scunthorpe saying it was dangerous.
BBC Weather App must be crap then Fill. Last day for a snow forecast on that is today.
Remember the undersoil heating going mysteriously bust once when we were due a game at Ewood. The game is five days away. The weather people have absolutely no idea if it is going to snow in Blackburn on Sunday.
Those apps change hourly, just like the….. weather!Under no circumstances or under any conditions should they bring back the music when we score.
Off topic I know. But why not? It is clearly a marmite issue, but what is it, why do people hate it so much??
I liked it because I thought it added to the atmosphere and cranked up it up, although I admit it was a bit embarrassing when we were many down, and it was a ‘no use goal’. I thought it added to the overall fun of the afternoon.
Why do others hate it so much?
Do you take a hamper to matches, buy those half and half scarves and enjoy Gillett Soccer Saturday?
Just wondering like……
…. if I am honest I would swap Monday for a win Saturday.Really….?
I’ve been following this club for over fifty years and that game on Monday night is right up there with the best, most memorable I’ve ever witnessed. They seldom come around but when they do they are priceless, unforgettable and irreplaceable. To say you would swap the euphoria and that fantastic experience on Monday night for a win on Saturday – which represents neither a crucial nor defining moment in the season – is just plain wrong, just as sacrificing the FA Cup win for Premier League status would have been in 2013.
Even if we do miss out on promotion as a consequence of this cup run I for one would not change a thing and certainly not for our moment of glory on Monday night.
Now winning the cup as a third tier club would just swing it for me.Yep, that would do it for me too.
It’s why we love football, to witness your team defy all the odds and win a game no one gave us a hope in hell of doing.
People are actively avoiding me at work now because they know the conversation will quickly move on to the events of Monday night. Yes, I’m boring them to death and I couldn’t give a toss…!
I wonder how many of those who went on to the pitch last night will be at the game on Saturday.
Rochdale have replayed the pitchDid the first game against the pitch end in a draw then? ;)
Who doesn’t like a good conspiracy…?
