I’ve seen it somewhere that Phelan has been seen at our last 3 games, makes you think that DW has had him lined up for the job for sometime. Could be a bit of a gamble appointing someone with no managerial experience, however if it’s true that Paul Scholes will be his no2 then it could be a good partnership what they lack in experience they make up with quality.
What’s the betting Whelan will stick with OC until the summer then not renew his contract and in the meantime we have some shocking football to look forward to!

Still if Wigan Athletic can win the FA cup then surely England can win the World cup.
