We would be stupid to let any of our key players leave and I doubt we will.
Well under the old system we could lose them at anytime of the season.
Player scores a few goals in August and September and he’s gone in October.
Mate of mine who is a Rovers fan refuses to believe that Jack Walker’s money bought them their Prem title, talk about being in denial !
Some of our fans refuse to believe that Dave Whelan’s money bought us a place in the Premier League.
Of course it did, but usually saying we bought our way there means we spent more than everyone else but we didn’t we just spent wisely.
If we hadn’t created any chances and been played off the park then I could agree with that Brownbill, but we have been the better side in all games. Charlton was probably the worst of the three but we still hit the woodwork and forced a few saves. Shrewsbury we missed 2 sitters and hit the woodwork twice and on Saturday their Keeper made a few saves and again we missed a few we should have done better with. How would having an extra player on up front have affected any of that forgetting that we may not have had said dominance with less midfield presence?
Sometimes egg just a change in tempo can change a game massively. Cut out a few passes and get it forward a little quicker. Get your centre mid closer to your lone striker to support. Pace can be just as effective as personnel changes.
Correct, and I fully agree we need more pace at times but most complaints are that we don’t have 2 up top.

Deal done.
Heard a rumour that Perks could be off to Bury as well.
Could that rumour be newsnow?
Lad at work so possibly.
I think Dereck is just saying we should have been a little more cavalier in possibly the last twenty five minutes or so when it looked like we were heading for another nil-nil.
Problem is on the bench there are no match changers anyway so there isn’t much more we could do but go like for like. We haven’t got a big striker to bring on to cause defences problems in the air or to lay off crosses to Grigg and neither had we a pacey midfielder for counter attacks. The squad is built around how Paul Cook interprets how the game should be played and as others have said it’s pretty much working most of the time and will again at Plymouth on Saturday and even tomorrow night in the cup.So how would you have gone “more cavalier” then?
Modern football. Look at the crap Tevez has come out with about being on holiday.

Most of our loan signings under Martinez warmed the bench
Struggling…..so Grigg off …..Vaughan on..!!…..Like for like….and no improvement, pee’s me right off.So who would you have taken off and how would you have changed our shape to make sure the change didn’t affect us negatively?
A tribute from Jason Roberts
Massey is dreadful. Really don’t see what he brings to the table.
Plenty clubs spent more than us but as a small club it can only be due to buying our way to the top that we made it and all the others didn’t.
If we had taken our chances we would be 9 points clear now. Luckily we are still clear so hasn’t hampered us too much.
I don’t think teams have worked us out as such but we do need to be more clinical.
