The issue with starting in the 3rd round is we have less chance of playing a Chorley or an FC United. Would love a local non league side away. Macclesfield was top for example.

The transfer window is an international one, and has to take into consideration all leagues across all nations, which is why dates are set in stone.Not strictly true. Some smaller footballing nations have a longer window.
Time will tell. The last time I was happy with a transfer window we were relegated.
All the cries of “why have we let players go” and “team spirit torn apart” are the usual I would expect from Wigan fans. The fact that we’ve gone up a division and it’s what happens seems to pass them by. Team spirit will only take you so far hence why a team can dominate one league one season and then the same team is relegated the season after.
