McCann could replace any of the midfield. Vukick could replace McAleny. Morgan could replace Barnet. Wabara could replace Daniels. Not too sure about Davies as playing two strikers at the same time just isn’t done so they say. It’s OK for Leicester though.
York play 442 and will be relegated from the football league tonight. Your point?
Lose at a bottom 3 club when chasing automatic promotion and it’s not a bad weekend. Well wtf???They were fighting as well. Always banana skins those as we show time and time again. We have no divine right to win a football match.
Starting to sound like a peanut clodder there Donny ;)
Bloody hell Donny. Your glass empty enough?
9 points from 12, piece of cake. We were always going to drop points somewhere luckily it happened when we have a cushion and it’ll keep us grounded enough to get the wins we need.
Dack is the best player I’ve seen against us.
Is not singing yet with shit results like that. More points thrown away against rubbing rags.
Five points alone dropped against Doncaster.
Look over your shoulder Gary. A Tuesday win essential now after this pathetic result today. To quote garswood. FFS donny. Have you seen the other results today. I think all of the top 6 have dropped points today. We have no right to win matches. That loss might just be what we needed. A good old kick up the arse might just be what we need to gain promotion. & have you checked the league table. We are still top.[/quote]
Yep. Stops us thinking the jobs done.
As for dropped points, everyone drops points we’ve just dropped less than the rest.
Is he bollocks. He’s chucking you more bait but you can’t see it.Exactly. With the 8K plus fans in our end that Mutty is suggesting we would be well outnumbered :P :P :P
Completely disagree, we have an away stand. If it fills, that’s your lot.5000 away fans is more than enough, as far as a football perspective we want as little encouragement as possible for the opposition.
If anything I’d want them in one of the corners of the ground to lose the kop like effect of a full stand behind the goal.
As for this North East thread, who gives a flying fook about the deluded fecks.
Agreed. We would actually run the risk of there being more away fans
Where have I defended the scoreline? I’ve defended the defeat because that was always going to happen with the injuries and illness we had but the score was a disgrace as I believe I posted above. I expected us to lose by about 20 points.
When you have players throwing up on the pitch and blowing out their a*** after 10 minutes you kind of fear the worst.
Oh, and at least 7 of their tries were forward passes ;)
9 points from the next 3 and the fat lady is singing guaranteed.
We can be promoted at Burton if results go right with Walsall.
By my Maths, we need another 9 points to finish above Walsall on GD and nobody else can get past 85 other than Burton who would only be able to get 88 if we beat them.
A Gills win would mean we can clinch it at Burton, but 9 points sees us up as Champions regardless of what anyone else does (unless we lose a 20 goal GD in that time)
Ah right. Well it depends on who those 12 players are, and on that night Hull’s senior players stepped up which ours didn’t yesterday.
The 10 that we were missing would have started the game with the exception of Bateman who would have been on the bench so 10 from 17.
If Latics were missing Lee Nicholls, Andy Kellett, Tim Chow, Jack Hendry, Sanmi Odelusi, Louis Robles, Jordan Flores and Craig Davies then you could say we were missing 8 players but realistically none of them would play.
I’m not making excuses for the 62-0 scoreline because as I said we didn’t turn up and rolled over which is disappointing but we were always going to lose the game with the players we had out.
There is an interview on the Wigan site that apparently explains the issues we’ve had this week with injury/illness. 9 players out of a 27 man squad trained on Thursday.
Go on…..you’ll have to explain that to me.
Blackpool fans at work, this morning, reckon there will be a mass pitch invasion and an attempt to get the game abandoned. So the ones without tickets might be the lucky ones. They did that last year as well which is why I want our fate signed and sealed before then so stunts like that don’t affect us.
You can’t use a try to goal ratio as it doesn’t exactly work that way, but we made a few changes at Bury in the cup and lost 4-0 so who knows how we would do with 10 missing. Like I said, the lack of effort was appalling. The senior players just didn’t stand up at all.
Wigan’s academy players would get in most SL sides with the odd one here and there but they wouldn’t be able to compete as a team in SL which is essentially what happened yesterday.
