Statement from BR Chairman this morning, Jordan Rhodes will not be sold to Wigan or any other championship club!!!!
End of!!!!
Yes, because everything that football managers and chairmen say is true.
Like BRS says….Throw a few bids in and see what happens.
I hear there is a great darts team in Wigan. Please can we see their trophies on Saturday.
You really don’t realise how stupid you look posting this, do you?
Judging by the reaction of the crowd on Sunday it is an ever decreasing minority that continues its petty feud or whatever it is with Warriors. I must admit I nearly fell asleep watching their game on Saturday but it was worth forsaking Soccer Saturday for once to see a tiny bit of sporting history being made. Nice touch on Sunday, even the Boro fans were applauding.
Glad they got a good reaction. Hopefully the same will happen on Friday night if they choose to do the same. Everyone from Wigan should be proud of what has been achieved this year regardless of their side of the fence.
Let’s judge Coyle at the end of the season shall we?
A question and I really don’t know the answer to this…Have WAFC players paraded the FA Cup around the pitch at a Warriors home game ? Genuine question ! If the answer is yes then how well were they received and if not, why not ?Not that I know of but I imagine that Whelan will bring it out on Friday night along with the Challenge Cup. Latics were mentioned several times yesterday by Shaun Wane and Ian Lenagan and even appeared in the match program on Saturday lifting the FA Cup in the column about Wane in which he said as a proud Wiganer he hopes both cups are held in Wigan at the same time.
mcneil for me too
bobby didnt win the cup the players did ,bottom of the pile for me that 2hat jumpship little xxxxJoel
Boyce
Alcaraz
Scharner
Espinoza
McCarthy
McArthur
Maloney
McManaman
Kone
GomezI believe that 8 (9 if you count Scharner) of those players were signed by Martinez and the man of the match was given his chance by the same man.
So…..Martinez didn’t win the cup but the players he signed and brought through did?
Oh, and before your reply……yes those same players got relegated.
Nothing in the Los Angeles Times, Le Monde or the Sydney Herald either.
I’m waiting for their colour supplements for Saturday’s final
TBF, the Sydney Herald will probably have a write up in their Monday edition
Rumours from Old Trafford that we are signing Nick Powell on loan
There were several threads on C&W regarding our following to the FA Cup semi final and claiming that Wigan RL would sell the allocation if it was their first trip to the new Wembley despite it costing around £80 per head for travel and ticket and a very real prospect of a return 4 weeks later.
A few months later and people were then complaining about a semi final in Leigh costing £18.There are people on both sides of the fence who would rather comment on the failings of the other side than actually comment on their own. As I’ve said many times, I don’t get it but each to their own and as long as they do it on this board and not the football section then that’s their choice and they’re free to do so.
FTR, the attendance yesterday had around 12000 home fans which on a Tuesday night is higher than Wigan RL would achieve against similar opposition. Lets say Wakefield.
RL fans are currently moaning about playing on a Thursday or Monday night 12 miles down the road. Try going to Newcastle on a Monday or Arsenal on a Tuesday at double the ticket price.Eggy, cut it out – they’ll soon stop letting you in at the rugby, talking this much sense.
My alter ego kicks in then and I comment on how poor Latics crowds are and how many free tickets they give away.
I very nearly cheered early on last night when Doncaster put a shot over the bar. I thought Wigan had kicked a penalty ;)
The Wigan evening/morning post has a great photo of Donnys second goal but neither of ours ??? Oh and yet another rehashed Latics flare throwing hooligans story .There was one set off last night ;)
It’s a Wigan thing. The rugby do exactly the same.
The default setting for a Wiganer is to whinge I’m convinced of it.

NOBODY GIVES A SHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing in the Metro newspaper either
How Wigan RL anticipate having 30,000 fans in the stadium when they haven’t sold 10,000 tickets is beyond me.The number of WN postal codes that have bought tickets through the RFL? The number of people registered with the RFL as Wigan fans that have bought tickets? (I have a ticket account with the RFL that has be down as a Wigan fan for example)
” A win will also get the fans on board because we all know how fickle Wiganers can be and two quick defeats and an opening loss at home will see some calling for Coyle’s head and talking up or relegation chances. (Granted he’ll be a genius and we’ll be the Champions elect with a win but I’d rather be listening to that than the usual doom and gloom).”
