One of them is from Chorley. I thought only egg chasers came from places outside of Wigan?
What are the chances of Wigan Athletic playing in the Charity Shield again? I’ll be there.
Egg chasing with the occasional cricket match as per usual :)
with better cover in defence and attackYou do realise how many defenders were injured at one stage last season we had Watson playing CB things were that desperate which resulted in bringing back Scharner to help out as for attack we scored more goals than the previous three seasons it was the defensive injury crisis that cost us most games I would like to see a stat that shows how many differant combinations were used during last season
Exactly. He can’t be blamed for the injury crisis we suffered.
Hi RonI think Jason has clarified it.
Wigan Athletic is now owned by a company Wigan Athletic Holdings, who also own the DW Stadium. So effectively the company that owns Latics owns the stadium. Because of the way company law works it is never going to be the case that Wigan Athletic per se own the stadium, just as I suspect most clubs are in fact subsidiaries now of a bigger business group.
For all practical purposes though the rugby team are rent payers to Wigan Athletic Holdings. They have no part in Wigan Athletic Holdings.
I expect it’s similar to how things work at Hull. The guy who owns Hull City also owns the Stadium Management Company. Therefore, Hull City don’t own the stadium but the company that owns Hull City does.
As I said on another thread, I think the amount of rent that WRLFC pay is based on their match day income and so the bigger the crowd the higher the rent. Whether that changes now we’ve been relegated I’m not sure but Ian Lenagan has always commented that it works better for WRLFC if WAFC are in the Premier League.
Back on topic, I’m more and more keen on the idea of giving that Rene Anagram fella a bash, if he’s up for it. You don’t get to work for SAF for five years by being a dickheadMy thoughts exactly
Oh well, if Robbie Savage says so…
The rest of it is nothing new.
Are you saying that the tweet savage has made is wrong?
Why, what exactly has he said? He seems to state a fact and then asks if he is missing something.
My general point is that if Robbie Savage thinks somthing is white, it’s more likely to be black. Wouldn’t trust the thick get to sit the right way on the bog.
Wouldn’t be the first time Savage has criticised Martinez either.
I like the thought of Meulensteen because I’m sure a few of the Utd coaches would follow and they’ve not done too bad a job.
We clearly progressed under Martinez because we won a trophy and made Europe. Ok we went down but I think 90% of the PL would have struggled minus their first choice back line. Man Utd struggle minus Ferdinand, Evans and Vidic.
Jones or someone from Spain. We need to push this culture that we have.
Looks good
Not everyone in the Catalonian region has Catalan as their mother tongue just like in Wales where not everyone has Welsh as their mother tongue.Apparently the province of Lleida where Balageur is speak Catalonian.
Not that it matters I was just being sarcastic :P
Spanish wouldn’t be his native tongue as a Catalonian ;)
TBF if they take all the crap momento stuff out then there’s plenty room.
I think the promotion shield was something Coca Cola introduced.
I have a Springfield Borough RLFC pin badge amongst my collection.
