maybe people were saving their money for the cup replay, should fill both stands then. ;)
Anything over 7000 on Tuesday will be a bonus.[/quote]
I’d say anything over 5k after the Hull crowd.
Going in we needed some strength in defence and some goalscorers. We came out with both.
Hopefully Moreno and Moses will be able to hack it at this level and our football will get us the results we deserve.
Not now we’ve got one of the best goalkeepers in Serbia, I suppose :shock:See…..blessed with talent
one of the best goalkeepers in Africa. Not that difficult though that really.
Has he played for Palace in’t cup ?
Thus will we see him Tuesday neet, if he signs ?Cup tied unfortunately
We should be looking at ways to fill the home seats before we do anything like that.Exactly
On another note, does anyone know why the capacity of the away end has been reduced to 4,600.
Why are the front two rows now not allowed to be used, and why are the no-mans land areas needed at the ends.To stop the away fans jumping down to that walkway when they score is the answer to the first one i would presume. No idea about the bits at the end (unless its to try and prevent the old missle throwing but im not sure how it would)
I will only be convinced we have made a signing when its on the official site.Even then you never know (see the Martinez saga)
An Everton fan told us that the cheapest kids ticket in their end was £20.
There’s a big advertising board advertising the rugby. Advertising new season at the mo, but advertises matches during campaign.
Why have we not got similar?
Also listening to GMR and the advertising by Man City is relentless.
Isn’t it time we had some sort of advertising campaign in order to try and add more faces to the ground.
Final note, I have said it before and despite trying to ask the club, never receive a response.
When we play a club that are capable of bringing more than 5000, why isn’t the East Stand have a partition. A lot of grounds do it, just seems such a waste not taking advantage of other clubs. The concourse isn’t set out in the correct manner for this to happen (bars, toilets etc) and so would need a total re-fit that I imagine would cost more than the extra tickets.
It’ll take more than ES2 to gee this lad up a bit!!But i’m afraid Fig just winds me up more than any other player I can remember in a Latics shirt (well, maybe Neil Morton as well!!)
I seem to spend 90 minutes yelling at him to mark his man. He’s constantly 15 – 20 yards away and you just don’t get away with it in the Premier League.
I’ve stated on here in the past about the amount of goals conceded down the left side because of Figs’ lack of positional sense, it’s shocking!
Everyone remembers his wonder strike at Stoke, but 2 minutes later he loses his marker (again) and they score. Nobody remembers this because of “that goal”
Get Kevin Sharp, Allen Tankard or Gavin Johnson back. Proper defensive left backs!!
The last bit was a joke by the way!!!! I meant Greg Strong ;)
Said all along that I don’t rate Figs. He makes that many cock-ups that he only gets away with because of his pace (his first touch is woeful) and he couldn’t mark Stephen Hawking.
Edman gets slated for his performance against Spurs but I doubt Figs would have done any better.
Scotland is far better than Agadoo. At least Scotland gets in the position to score goals which Agadoo never did (well except that sitter against Liverpool).
Great football match? I was bored shitless from start to finish (for about the 8th time this season) and got excited once when Charlie hit the bar and that was the 93rd fuc*ing minute.
Why oh why did we all stand up when Scotland broke through? You just knew the outcome.
They thought Bramble was bad

I knew we should have stayed in Hooters
26 January 2010 at 12:39 am in reply to: What did people make of our new goalkeeper because…….. #19707Whilst he made a couple of good saves towards the end of the game he didn’t look very safe in regards to crosses etc.
He went down for a ball in the 2nd half with his eyes shut ffs.
