Teale, Teale will tear you apart again!
Unplayable on his day
Not sure if it was the promotion season or not but he had a spell of being the best player on the park and then he was hacked down at Stoke, got injured and never seemed to be the same again.
Now I come to think about it I think it was the year we missed the playoffs when he scored that rocket at Nob End.
Superb display and result. Naismith outstanding again. Will go from villain and scapegoat last season to player of the season this seasonEvery chance he could be player of the season. Was absolutely immense today.
Usually back the sky treble on a saturday but couldn’t today as it meant backing against us. Sadly, I didn’t back us.
Gary Teale couldn’t cross a road, he was superb at running at defenders when he was on form though
Even his bad crosses were met by the likes of Ellington, Robets and McCulloch, and strong midfield players getting in the box.
Well, except the ones he blazed into the stands
If they can only score goals with someone else holding their hand then modern football probably isn’t for them
Ubers?
I’d take a point right now. Hoping for a fighting performance we can take into next week
Windass isn’t a striker but Cook chose to play him throughout the Christmas fixtures when we had a true striker on the bench, and that worked out well!!!. Suddenly he doesn’t want him…..is that not odd ? Let’s see how these transfers pan out but unless Cook plays them where they should be playing then we’ll be able to add them to the long list of under utilised loans and transfers. Whatever the reason behind the Windass move I believe it’s weakened us at a critical point in the season. It might well have done, but if players don’t want to be here then send them on their merry way no matter who they are.
And let’s be honest, he was continually slagged off whenever he played.
Jesus Christ Donny lad. We’ve all said that our strikers are crap and we don’t score many goals. We bring in a striker and you moan.
We clearly play with wingers because we all moan every week at Massey and Lowe playing. Because they don’t take their man on and blaze a cross into the South/North stand ala Gary Teale doesn’t mean they aren’t wingers.
Windass showed in his few games that he most definitely isn’t a striker which is the position he wants to play and is why he left Rangers. His attitude is apparently poor (probably listens too much to his dad) around the place which is why he has been dropped multiple times so given the fight we are in we need people all pulling in the same direction.
As you say…we needed the defender for cover if nothing else and we still have Robinson lets just hope his head is in the right place.
We have filled the two main spots we needed to, hooefully Dobre is capable of a decent final ball unlike Massey, Lowe and Jacobs. Nobody trusted Cook with any money and we haven’t given him any, and loans seem to be the order of the day in this window, fingers crossed we have got the right people in. I never feel too confident about our business because it never goes the way I expect but at least we’ve addressed the issues.
Windass to Sheff Weds on loan.
A defender and striker in from Brighton and a winger in from Bournemouth.
Where has there been any mentions of money?
A few people probably passed him in the corridor like he wasn’t there and he was in completely the wrong place and they realised he can’t defend for toffee.
Robinson move fallen apart apparently
Where have you heard that, nowt on SSN in the 26 mins that have passed since you posted.???
Alan Nixon had posted it on twitter and a friend sent it to me. On SSN now though as you say.
Gutted for the lad, but we could have done with the cash also.
Robinson move fallen apart apparently
Probably pay over the odds now though as they know we have 10m in the bag and need a LB.
There will be nowhere near £10m int bag egg. Everton have a good sell on clause I believe, plus it wont be straight 10 mill down there will probably be half that, plus addons for first team appearances etc. Be lucky to get 3-4 million from it to use on transfers.
How much we actually receive in the first go will still mean Colchester whack the price up
Hoping at least a CB comes in
