I think he is just classed as an attacking midfielder Donny meaning he can play anywhere. Either way, a front 4 of Pilkington, Massey, Jacobs and Garner will cause teams problems.
Regards the kids, I agree that we can’t rely on them 100%, they need some experience around them. Pretty sure last season though that most people on here (now those saying don’t play the kids) were screaming for Lang, Gelhardt and Jolley to be given a chance.
Least of our problem a striker. We have Garner and at a push Windass who can’t be any worse than as a midfielder.
We need quality to replace James and Powell urgently now.Pilkington through the middle is Powell’s replacement it seems
Most of the posts on here are differing opinions though as opposed to “insults”. I know myself and GL try to weed out any insults where we can.
The point is if you don’t want your opinion questioned then don’t post it.

Pretty much my thoughts on it too.
Usually it’s the darkside (although I think most are trolls) that react when anyone dare criticise their opinion that we’re crap, Cook is an idiot, our team are all aged over 50 and our owners haven’t bought Messi yet although TBH he’s shit anyway.

As SH77 says, we have to sign players that are a risk. He comes in on a free and does a job, result. He comes in on a free and does nothing then it was a risk we needed to take. Same with Darron Gibson last season. Few good games, few poor, some injuries so we let him go but a risk we had to take.

Not that I think Clarke would be a good signing, but what other comparison would you like to see between strikers? Maybe we could look at the number of clean sheets?
