Would you wonder then if they said “why bother?”
From Saturday’s performance our team must all be related to Mystic Meg.
Paragraphs are for ponces! ;)Good job DW didn’t say that.
There are a lot of fans of the so called ‘big clubs’ in this division who wish their club had done as well as we have this season.
Well done the LATICS.
Looking forward to another exciting season next year.
They weren’t dropped, they were thrown away ! Schoolboy defending at the end.
Didn’t get a mention on either of the 2 main breakfast programs this morning either
We started with 4 at the back. Scharner lined up to the left of Caldwell at the kick off and played most of the match there. We play all season with 3 at the back and then in a game as important as this we change to 4. No wonder the defence was at 6’s & 7’s. Maloney was wasted out on the right and the 2 James were overrun in mid-field. Great tactical changes.
If we won the cup it would make it very difficult for us in the following season. We couldn’t cope with playing in the UEFA Europa League. Whelan would have to dip very deep into his pockets to provide a squad big enough.
Not overly disappointed about today. Didn’t expect to get anything but was glad to see the lads didn’t capitulate. In previous seasons would probably have finished as another 9 against.
Don’t think that Figs is right for left wing-back, would rather have had Crusat on than Figs. I think Figs was more at fault for the 1st goal rather than Ramis. OK Ramis got turned but Ivanovic was Figs man but he was too slow tracking back.
I know Chelsea sat back a bit after going 2 up but if we can play like that for the rest of the season then I think we will be OK.
Less than 1 hour. The window shuts at eleven. Guess it will only be 3 signings.
Am I being paranoid or is this more than just a coincidence? Did the Prem bigwigs looked at our result against Blackpool last season and deliberately arrange for us to play the 3 promoted teams in the hope that we will get off to a really disastrous start?
My thoughts on Rooney. He is a thug, always has been and always will be. As to certain managers, they are world champion hypocrites. They just won’t accept that any of their players can do anything wrong and until they do players like Rooney will never change their ways.
For a few years now some people on this board have been saying that they would prefer for us to be relegated. I have disagreed with them until now being proud that “little Wigan” were playing alongside the big boys. But after what has just gone on I think that the sooner we get out of this corrupt division the better. I will still continue to give my support to the team and in all likely-hood would enjoy my football better for it.
If Sky do reduce their input to English football the biggest losers will be the players and their agents. Over the years have been increasing their financial input but ticket prices have not gone down but players wages have rocketed.
Undoubtedly the 4th official drew the ref’s attention to the incident. Pity he didn’t draw his attention to Bendtner decking Cleverly with a smack in the face which happened right in front of him and of course Wenger didn’t see that either.
In all honesty I was gobsmacked when Stam & Thomas were subbed. They were arguably our best 2 players on the field.
