In the early 2000’s Leeds had a wage bill near on £60 million, it was unheard of and with debts over £100 million. Same goes for Bolton who’s admin had to settle on a chunk of land as payment.
Give Krasners mob the Chippy and fcuk em off the greedy cnuts and get Krasner on the deep fat fryer. Tbh he actually looks like a chippy mon the scruffy turd fcukin sauce down the tieEasily the best and funniest post I have seen since all the crap hit the fan 😂
Just glad to see the team start the season after so much turmoil and to be honest i didnt care a stuff about the result in that ( now the prem clubs are involved) tin pot competion.
Results are the least of our worries in my opinion however surely there is a future if contracts are being signed etc so a completion of sale must be a bit closer ?Look good
How much are they each ?
Fifty pence ?People with extreme wealth in my experience hate parting with it hence the reason they are very wealthy.
They generally know the price of everything and the value of nothing and have a very mean spirited outlook on life in my opinion.
Not all of them obviously and We struck very lucky with the very benevolent Whelan whom had just floated his company on the stock market from memory and wanted to help the club.
A true entrepreneur who hadn’t forgotten his roots and who wanted to give something back who had a vision and achieved the impossible , we won’t see his like again sadly.
Can’t see a similar situation this time andI doubt any local rich Locals are going to come forward to rescue the club unfortunately.
I hope we get sorted very soon but with every day comes more doubt especially with the dwindling assets and ever depleting playing squad.People with extreme wealth in my experience hate parting with it hence the reason they are very wealthy.

I hope we get sorted very soon but with every day comes more doubt especially with the dwindling assets and ever depleting playing squad.Just watched a hardy bunch of cyclists Circle our ground for past 3 hours in aid of the club.
Most of them die hards including my son , very proud of them all.
Lump in the throat stuff all of this , have to hope and hope again!A group of tics fans doing a bike ride for the appeal on Monday at 12pm at the stadium.
My own son being amongst them, a diehard since he https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/bike-ride-for-the-ticsGet pledging and save this club in what is its darkest ever hour , far worse than 1983 !!!
Cannot understand a defeatist attitude at a time like this be my message is to all those temporary Jonny come lately hand clasping w@@@@rs that plagued our club for few years during the premier league days !!!
Where are you lot now you effing shallow faced bar stewards??!!!!!Get pledging and save this club in what is its darkest ever hour , far worse than 1983 !!!

Where the feck are you lot now you effing bar stewards??!!!!!smashing emotive little film that by the same voice as last seasons season ticket one, that one always chokes me up.
The narrator gets its just right on both of these , sure i know his voice though although i wont name him on here.
Nervy times ahead though , have grave doubts now about our future.I fear the worst , hope I’m wrong .
Ever met an accountant you have actually liked because I sure as hell haven’t!
As grim a statement as I have ever read about Wigan Athletic FC and very very worrying times for what seems to be at the moment a dying football club.
The back is firmly against the wall now and fight looks very weak tonight.
Heartbroken 💔when the points deduction was confirmed my short term bitterness and anger was very quickly replaced with fear.
Not fear of losing players and status but actual survival as without any owner we very likely won’t be able to start next season.
However I am always a glass half full person and I think with the announcement of the long overdue salary cap and assets available I would be extremely surprised if the buyer isn’t found.
Just have to be positive and look forward to a different future that if we survive is likely to resemble what we used to be , a lower division club alternating between leagues 1 and 2.
Not what everyone wants to hear but at least we would have a club to support and let’s never forget the fact that many friendships have been built up over the years due to Latics and it would be awful to lose that.If we are going down the much preferred ‘ex player ‘ route then surely there would be a few more suitable candidates knocking about surely ?
Adkins and Jewell should be in the frame in my view assuming the new owners went for the traditional option of appointing an ex player as manager, always been a success at Latics historically.
Agree with earlier poster in that most important appointment imminently will be an OWNER willing to pump money into an ailing club and the quicker that is done the better because there is more of this come in the coming months across football for certain !!Agree ,First job is get a new owner in pronto then try and get the best prices for all the sellable players.
Now the dust is settling After the very unfair relegation that for me is the priority although also worrying is the lockdown tightening and no crowds being admitted which ultimately means a huge drop in revenue.
At least the 12 points deduction is gone and if all of the above are satisfied at least we start with a clean slate and lower running costs.
The bigger picture of football is a frightening one though and I think football will be littered with 12 point deductions next season once the furlough scheme ends.
Terrible times but an underdog , backs to the wall tag has always suited this great club and despite the bad times ahead hopefully we will still have a club to follow even if it is a lower division model.
And finally shame on the 10,000 tossers of this town who bought the kit when we hit the premier league and deserted us when we departed.
You know who you are and spare a thought and think about your local football club next time you wash your PCP 10p millionaire car with the 2005-6 replica kit !!!!!! -
