Tez H -if we have 10000 young supporters who are going to stick with things through thick and thin then the future should be a very bright one.
However a knawing feeling keeps coming back that we are all being short changed and that messages on here along the lines of ” it will be great going to Oldham and Rochdale” mean we could easily be saying the same things next year along the lines of
” it will be great going to Accrington and Morecambe ” after another season of hell.
Im sorry but unless there are radical changes then we could be very easily in the same boat next year.
with people coming out with this sort of line do you honestly feel any changes will occur that we all know need to if the club is to recover and move on from this.
Beyond that is anyones guess but you only need to look at the graveyard called the conference which is full of former football league clubs.
I admire the positivity and energy of our superb young supporters and their loyalty is lump in the throat stuff if im honest.
We deserve better ,much better and that is what hurts the most!!!Ye lets all go out and have a party at the thought of playing Rochdale on a filthy November night.
Bitch slaps to anyone celebrating this debacle of a season, I’m ashamed end of !!!!!!!I’m sorry but playing the likes of some of these doesn’t inspire me one iota and the thought of playing Southend on a wet Tuesday fills me with dread.
All this “it’s going to be great bollocks” does my head in and proves we have a small minded outlook.
We have just been effing relegated halfway in receipt of parachute payments to the third division after fighting our way up in the nineties.
I don’t think the reality of this situation has sunk in yet and maybe it’s because the vast proportion of our supporters never experienced this league back then. It’s death on every level with disheveled clubs in backwaters and trips to these places are grim believe me!
The anger I feel today is unbelievable , we could and should still be in the second division , how the hell did it come to this???Positive post but heard the same thing when we were relegated from the prem two years back and also the same last season so I’m certainly not buying this time round.
Funny how the email message from little Dave had a banner promoting season tickets from next Tuesday which says it all and it will take a lot more than that for more people to be convinced.
I only feel one emotion today and that is anger at something that could easily been avoided,FFS a micro club and I mean micro club like Bournemouth have acheived premier status with very little money and we couldn’t even consolidate our position in the championship and we have far more money than them!!!
I love the club and i will be there next season but they have to show more than a few choice words and I am far from convinced that we will see anything different next year.
I am very interested to see what the ST prices will be also .Some consolation last night that Blunderland fan’s jaws hit the floor far and wide on hearing Dull had beaten thieverpool 1-0.
Nothing we didn’t expect , at least young david is doing the pitch up and we should not in any way lay any blame on him.
At least blunder land fans will be very pissed off at dull city beating Liverpool , some consolation in thatThey deserve to stay up we don’t .
been on the cards for months and fully deserved!!Get the most promising kids from the reserves and put them in.
Cosgrove , Flores and chow for starters and add a few more as we will be an attraction for hungry lads at that level due to our big ground and passionate support.
We don’t need has beens from other clubs we have tried that and it doesn’t work.
Hopefully the scouting network will get going and the new training ground finished off.its time to stabilise the club and adapt to our new era in the lower divisions one of the hardest places to get out of.
We may be down there for many many years so we have to start again and build a successful youth policy.Far too many chances blown now and far too late to start dreaming of miracles.
agree with the other poster they will comfortably beat Reading who like Brighton have been very lucky this season in my opinion ,two very poor teams blimey we took 7 points from a possible 12 off this pair.FFS you really need to get a sense of humour !!!
Play on words – it’s called satire , look it up
It’s these little teenies that do my head in.kitted out like some film extra on ‘green st’ and mouthing off outside especially around pensioners and children.
A little posse at the corner playing the big I am with some speccy mid life crisis dad alongside them.At least we won’t have to put up with these gobshites next year and they wil still be in the championshit.Blunder land don’t make me laugh !
The only ground where you leave at full time to avoid the traffic.
Hear they have built a giant cot on the stadium of shites carpark ( opens at 3-45 home games) with dummies supplied!good to see he was in a minority and the team spirit seems to be returning which gives a bit of hope,we are going to need it next season in league 1.
The FA cup back then was as big a trophy as you could win simply due to the profile generated by being the only game between league clubs televised live in the football calendar.
the build up and the hype went on all week and the TV channels used to open up at 9am to start the coverage, incredible when you think about that now.To win the trophy back then was seen as a major success for the winning club and saved the careers of many an under pressure manager.
now you are lucky to get a column in the paper a day before the game and the whole thing has been ruined by TV ironically with the ridiculous kick off time and the sanitised ‘new’ wembley that bears absolutely no resemblance to the old model.Maybe that is where the trophy lost some of its sparkle, the old ground was a relic but it’s majestic colliseum style and the camera angles made it feel very special abd for me something was lost forever when it was bulldozed.
When we beat Man city some of the old magic came back just for a bit but when I witnessed scrawpy Arsenal ( from greatest league in world-my Arse!!!!) struggle past Reading last night I realise that it is sadly now a marginal tournament buried under the false hype of the premier league and the mad dash to get there via the championship play offs. -
