      And then what?
Another lamb to the slaughter at the hands of these goons who purport themselves to be professional footballers? We will be in league one quicker than an outhouse Rat when a back door is open.
He said one word after yesterday’s game that gave me some hope “CLEAROUT” no more room for any p/ssin about, the situation is very serious.

Beyond unacceptable and never in my 35 years following this club have I seen a wigan athletic team put such little effort in. The players are an utter disgrace to themselves and the club and have let us down to the point were their own supporters have turned on them. No guts or backbone and league 1 is inevitable with this pitiful shower !

Small minded mentality thinking that the world revolves their poxy city/town ( not sure what it is) like a large scale version of Ince bar ( no offence to any Incers BTW although I doubt any will read this as they think RL is biggest game in the world round there) although a different shaped ball.

Fair point TL i suppose i am looking at it with rose tinted specs and maybe you were unlucky to drop on a few bullies.
A memory came back to me of the late 70s/ early 80’s – a home game against either Bradford City or Port Vale at home and a group of us being attacked by a pack close to Springfield rd.
I was only 13 or so at the time but we must have been chiding this adult mob so they must have thought stuff it lets go straight into them to teach them a lesson. We where only a pack of kids but a few slaps were dished out despite the gap in ages.
The point i am making is that if you were an inncocent supporter you could more often than not avoid trouble if you kept your head down unless you dropped on some bullying scum like you obviously did.
The fact that this Mercantile credit festival passed over without any bother during a very dark period for British football highlights this fact perfectly.
I can also remember a PNE game at springfield park (mid 90s) when due to our low gates at the time a good few PNE speccies sneaked into our areas and again no bother other than some trouble at the railway station between the like minded.

I remember it being a damp squib and a joke with mini 11 a side games that were televised all day .

The then clever souls at the FL dropped the fixture list at the business end of the season so it was hardly going to be popular.
It does seem surprising that their was no trouble but back then hooliganism only seemed to occur between like minded souls and respect was shown to the ordinary supporter who just wanted to watch the football.

after their supporters attacked decent amateur footballers the last time they played here I have no sympathy whatsoever.
I hope the long wait goes on ands it’s heartening to think we have won more trophies in the last 16 years than they have in the last 40!

Lets be honest we need to try something different to change this dreadful run of form so why not?
A more direct bullying style of play is what is needed when a team is struggling and i think he would frighten most defenders given his size and his clumsiness.
He has a brilliant engine though and will outpace most defenders they will just have to work on his touch near goal as this is what usually lets him down.
Mclean is a scruffy(playing sense) but typical championship player and this may be a decision that changes things and how we need that to happen!
Remember Lee Mcculloch and the inspired change from misfiring striker to left sided midfielder?
Also Killer Kev (Kilbane) and his change from headless chicken left winger to grafting left back?
They used to call them utility players but you never hear it mentioned these days.

I suppose the owners of the clubs that charge these crazy prices justify it by comparing it to rock concerts and theatre trips as about the same
Few questions to Leeds Football Club

Have we got a guarantee of entertainment?
Will we have an unrestricted view?
Will it be comfortable seating ?
Will we be treated with the respect by the staff?
is our safety GUARANTEED on entering and leaving the stadium ?

I would be surprised if they could answer YES to any of the above .

                        agree
Throw in the kids and fire off the deadwood ( if we can) at least they will have a go and try.
I said on here a few weeks back changing the manager would be a disaster and they seem to have gone even further backwards if that performance was anything to go by.
Let’s lob in Flores and the it others at least they appreciate it and give their all for the club and the crowd( dwindling by the week btw) will get behind them.
Still very p/seed off about that feeble performance yesterday easily one of the worst in recent years.

spineless lazy ‘performance’ today and makes me wonder If Malky can reinvigorate this woeful bunch such was the lack of character shown today totally alien to recent wigan athletic teams.
the conceded goal was basically a free shot at goal and had they had some zap they could have easily added to their goals tally such was the gulf in the teams at times today.
the boos at half time and again at the end made for a very grim afternoon all round ,hard times ahead indeed.

Someone who will come in and deal with the sh/t stirrers and the mercenaries will do for me and one that will pull us out of this mess.
I feel sorry for Rosler he has been let down by the players this season and the sacking seems very harsh in the cold light of day especially given his fantastic start.
6 months is a very long time to be jobless in football management and a year probably means you are finished so I would nt rule out Pulis and to be honest he would be my choice given the mess the club is in at the moment.

                              NO
did I or did INot hear the supporters chanting his name when the team started brightly or was I dreaming ?
he needs to clear out the rubbish in January bring some leaders in and get ready for a battle to stay in THIS division .
It his his mess and I would Sooner see him try and sort it out and prove his worth that he showed us a glimpse of last season and get some of the lazy bar stewards doing what they are paid to do.
if it was me I would get the experienced players back in and build around that and I liked the fact he was honest to the press about the lack of character in the team which is our biggest fault really.
maybe the team hitting the bottom three might wake a few of the plebs up and make them realise that this league is about graft and hard work rather than ability and that is what Uwe has to do now,get the lads who want to save the club in and tell the rest to F¥¥k off and rot !
it’s as simple as that ,rock bottom has been reached now surely.

We have to tough it out !!!
It wasn’t a bad game last Saturday and the home game with Birmingham was excellentl as well as a little unbeaten spell which gives hope for the future.
In seasons like these the window will be where all the sorting out gets done and the results will improve in the second half of the season as they did last year so we have to give him at least one season to sort the squad out.
As I have said before sacking the manager is a very bad thing to do in seasons such as these so we have to stick with it and try to enjoy the ups and downs as they come and not sulk when we get beat.
Stop moaning and get on with it , times like these are what a being a true football supporter is all about ,ups and downs and mid way results – GROW SOME!!!!
