Maurice Lindsey takes the hint and leaves Wigan Athletic
It has taken a few years, but Maurice “a lovely little club” Lindsay has finally took the hint and left Wigan Athletic for the lights of struggling Preston North End. The once ‘Heartland of Rugby’ man seems to have turned his back on the sport he tried so hard beef up as the best sport in the world, to gain jobs in the actual best sport in the world.
Mersey Masters team sheets released
The Echo Arena plays host again to the Mersey Masters on July 4th 2010, where Wigan Athletic will pit their wits against Liverpool, Everton, Tranmere and two additions in Blackpool and Preston North End.

Mario Melchiot has said his farewells to Wigan Athletic as he signs for Umm Salal of Qatar. The 33 year old defender has served us well and everybody at Cockney Latic wishes him well.

A packed out South Stand Suite wined and dined til the early hours while they found out who had made an impression on fans, players and the media over the course of the season.
