The East Stand should be closed if you ask me, they close it for certain cup games
No – the South Stand is sometimes closed – not the East. That’s where the bulk of our S/T holders are.
Next season there won’t be many fans trust me! South and West stands will be enough!
Won’t look too clever on the telly – a completely empty stand.
They could go back to the old days. East Stand for away fans. North Stand as the Family Stand. South for drum banging dickheads and the Best in the West.
People need to stop moaning and take a step back and think.
Look at the top 4 or 5 clubs in the PL how many of them are managed by great players?
Alex Ferguson hardly set the world on fire as a player either.
Great players like Souness,Robson, Gullett Pearce Shearer were shit managers.
Give the guy a chance.
We’re down anyway but we may get a little bit of pride back.
Lets wait and see.
Its far too late to make any difference. He should have gone 6-7 weeks ago. Its like the club expected to beat Derby, and because we haven’t he’s been sacked. Pi$$ poor leadership.I doubt that somehow.
Today was probably the last chance saloon and he failed – again.
Onwards and upwards.
WHY is Malky not playing Waghorn ? …
WHY is he persisting with Perch in Midfield for Kvist ?
WHY is he persisting with Fortune ?
Why is he not playing Perch instead of Boyce at RB
Why has be brought in an influx of young raw loan players with no experience ?
Why are the players not looking like they are even arsed if we go down ?
Why has he not tried new formations and tactics to deal with the goal scoring issue ?Because he’s f*****g clueless would be my suggestion.
That and the players currently on show seem for the most part to be under motivated or just not good enough or in Boyce’s case past their prime unfortunately.
Seriously ?…He was inept yet again and never ever looked like creating or scoring.Another 75mins and another blank for him,he is ponderous!!!…….Waghorn has 3 times more goals and hardly been seen on the pitch recently,so how does he get on before him is unfathomable..Manager to blame for sticking with the same hopeless strike partnership and not getting 3pts against a Bolton side who today at least looked worse than us.Saving grace …..a stunning finish from Wednesday so gap slightly reduced but should have been more.Disagree.
He played well today. His touch was more assured and he linked the play well at times.
I agree it was a surprise when he came off but having said that it was Waghorn who scored our goal so we can’t complain really.
We played well today and were unlucky. They were poor and if their keeper hadn’t played a blinder we would have battered them.
Northern Soul. ARSOUL!! Shit music for folk who can’t dance.
Hate it.
They should just play funeral music and Abide With Me at the moment.
After all we are dead and buried !!!!!!
Well sorry but we lost again.
We didn’t deserve to lose today.Well I suppose we did actually as we had 3 great chances to score and if someone had been prepared to gamble and run into the far post area there was an easy tap in on offer X 3.
There was nothing between the teams though and we should have got at least a point.
Nice speech from Mr W. and his put down of the chanting Leeds was brilliant.
Can’t argue with that !!!
Was in a New York bar in 2010 and a yank spouted off about Martinez and his players and what was wrong with latics, surreal really.
he later joined us on a pub crawl and tried to “get laid ” ( felt like I was in the film porkies) with some unfortunate bar worker near Times Square. We watched the Everton QPR game in an Irish Bar off 34th St near Maceys. :)
Cup Final aside the 4 years under Roberto were 4 seasons of worry and were not enjoyable really.Yes some great moments – Beating the Mancs at last being the best for me.
The first PL season up to Xmas was great but I think we only won one home game after that – Villa. Second season under Jewell was awful. The 3rd season was OK the 4th was great up to us getting 40 points then it turned to shit as the team stopped playing and then Bruce pissed off.
Next season you could argue we are back where we should be given the size of the town and the crowds.
However without Uncle Dave we wouldn’t have had 8 seasons up there and more importantly Wembley and for that alone I’ll always be greatful to him.
At least Wigan are a global name now. I was in New York last December and even the Yanks have heard of Latics and Wigan. :cheer:
My first game for ages.
To say not impressed would be an understatement.
Doomed looks about right.
We huffed and puffed but never looked like scoring today – again.
They should have been at least 1 up at half time. 2 cleared off the line.
So we can’t really complain about the result.
5 ex Latics players in the Team Today.
First time I’ve posted for around a year maybe, been logging in and seeing it all, however it’s really lost some of its characters. Seems to be same folk driving newer posters away, or same folk stamping down on any craic that is generated.
Hope it gets a little busier next year, and the temporary poor form of the team is short lived with it.
And that’s why my grandson (and some of his friends) stay clear of commenting on this board.
I’m just a “daft old twat” here at the annoyance of some on this board – there you go eh?
Yet you’re one of those that is always having said arguments? Weird eh?
Like Sammy says, if you post codswallop on a public forum you should be prepared to take the flack for it.
CODSWALLOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring it on ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
And they last won the FA Cup when …………………………..? B)
In case you haven’t seen it,here’s tonight’s Bush Tucker Trial.
