Jason Roberts career floundered after he left us and he scored a few against us as well.

Anyone having anything interesting for lunch?

Southern Fried Chicken Wrap with Chipotle Salsa in a Wheat Flour Tortilla and a bag of Roysters T-Bone Steak Bubble chips. :cheer:

This is not as funny as some people make it out to be, indeed I feel it highlights a very important problem within the team. That is one of leadership.

Yes, we do have Boyce (as the longest serving team member) to fill the regular slot but who really is the Captain out there? Who motivates the team? Who has the bottle to encourage (bollock) fellow team members who are not pulling their weight? Who gets the team message from the club to the playing staff? Who has the charisma to lead, guide and motivate?

Oh! and who should decide who takes the feckin penalties instead of “I touched the ball first, it’s mine” attitude? The Captain/Leader should be the one.

    Leadership

What has leadership got to do with taking a penalty? You either have the balls/ability to take one or you don’t. The captain telling you to take it even though you hate the pressure is hardly going to inspire you to hit the back of the net is it?
This is a prime example.

He was forced to take this by The Kaiser apparently.

Espinoza starts. We win. Sound familiar? Hardly a coincidence the energy that man brings.

    Make the most of it.

Game plan was to press them all over the pitch – it seems to have worked. Roger with his energy would be perfect for those tactics.

It’ll be all change on Saturday – unless the tactics remain the same of course. B)
Not being funny but if we were pressing them all over the pitch then we can’t give Roger sole credit for doing ALL of that. Didn’t see the game so it’s hard to comment but, I’m simply not having that that headless chicken was the reason we won yesterday.
I wasn’t giving him sole credit but that’s why he was in the team yesterday. He probably did run around like a H C but that’s what the tactics would have dictated he do.Press them high up the pitch. His boundless energy would have been just what the manager required. He’ll probably be lucky to be on the bench on Saturday.

Circumstances have dictated I’ve only been to 2 home games this season myself but I’m a supporter of Wigan Athletic and no one can tell me otherwise.

Learn to read. I’m talking about people who CHOOSE not to bother coming simply because they think it might not be entertaining. That is NOT supporting your team.

And no-one can tell me otherwise
I thought no one could tell you anything?

    Actually I can read – it’s comprehension I may have a problem with. :P
Shouldn’t you be working? ;)
Well I did make a Lasagne and bake a Lemon Drizzle Cake this afternoon. :cheer:

We win away at a high flying team with a great comeback – but not a peep.

Is it because a number of people are wiping the egg off their faces having criticised earlier?

{For clarification – it’s “the egg”, not “The Egg” which would be something quite different]

Nout for em to moan about.

Some of us prefer this league to the Premier Greed is Good League. Couldn’t stand it in there.

You must have really been pissed off for those 8 seasons then????

So was I for a great deal of it. Not because we were in it though – just the struggle we had to stay in it especially under Martinez.

However I’d sooner be at the wrong end of the PL than where we are now.

    Hopefully things will soon improve.

So just to clarify, a supporter is only a “supporter” if he attends every game??

For what its worth I will be attending the Fulham game also!

Pretty much, yes. Certainly every home game, if you can. Not just when it suits you. You think the team only needs “support” on the occasions where you think it’s going to be an entertaining game?

Stick to the rugby, mate. Supporters like you, we don’t really need.

It’s not worth much at all that you’re attending he Fulham game. We all are, obviously.
The shite we are being served up with at the moment we are lucky anyone’s turning up. We shouldn’t be adopting a holier than thou superior attitude telling folk to stay away.

Circumstances have dictated I’ve only been to 2 home games this season myself but I’m a supporter of Wigan Athletic and no one can tell me otherwise.

Folk will turn up despite dross being served up when you’re in the PL because most weeks you’re playing against decent teams with World famous players who they also want to see. It’s a bit different in the Championship especially when your at the wrong end of the table.

Not everyone has an endless pot of money and they aren’t going to part with what they have got if the end product isn’t in some part entertaining.

We have sat through a great deal of shite over the last 6 years.Credit to anyone who has turned up on a regular basis and not just every match.
