You only needed to click quote and post underneath it? I didn’t go, was working late, but I could easily be home in 7 minutes if the trafic wasn’t bad. I was just saying why are you assuming that I didn’t. I also go on Cockneylatic on my phone as you would know if you had read my posts regarding fishing when I was at white acres?

Still cant get to beech hill that quick
I believe that I cud. If there was no traffic and I was in my car I could be home in 7 minutes. I reckon it could be done with slight traffic to be fair.
Well I’ll tell you know you can’t and won’t ever get to Beech Hill in 7 minutes after a game, couldn’t even do it when the police/traffic wardens were in charge of traffic management out of Stadium Way.

He might have been willing to put his foot in at one time but he bottled it tonight on a few occasions. He may have been here a few years but his comments in the press about the mental strength of his team-mates and his willingnes to get away meant any respect that was there for him from me went a long time ago.

There’s no place at Wigan Athletic for jumped-up, self-important players who aren’t willing to put a shift in. The manager has to take a lot of the blame for putting some players in the firing line and the position they found themselves in. Json Scotland with his 1 in 30 strike rate should have been jettisoned in the transfer window and people like Scharner should have been disciplined accordingly.

That atmosphere tonight was not nice to be in to support our team but I think even the most patient and knowledgeable fan can see we’re rotten at the moment with in-fighting aplenty.

The cynic in me thinks a touchline ban might help his reading of the game ;)

Good luck to the Premier League re-writing legally binding contracts between clubs and councils.

Shame it couldn’t have been an open fans forum.

Fair point actually. A lot’s been sad of this ‘meeting’ but it’s been done on a bigger scale by having the usual fans forum.

Is it any surprise when it’s a rareity to actually win a game? You’re bound to see an increase in people’s displeasure when you win 3 games at home all season scoring only 11 goals in the process, chucked in with a load of hammerings and lacklustre performances with a ‘fluid’ 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation or 4-4-2 when it’s too late.

It’s just a pity those voicing their anger can’t seem to get over what they are saying coherently so it’s no wonder they aren’t taken seriously.

After 27 games people are expecting him to change

I don’t know what’s more laughable, the feeble attempt at a passing game or the people who clinging onto blind faith/stupidity.

In a peverse way I don’t think I want any extra fans on top of what we’ve got now! I brought my American mate to his first football match the other night and was embarrassed at what we saw, needless to say my job of getting him to come to another game this season has become quite difficult!

Must have been a push for him to get the last bus back stateside too, what with it being an 8 o’clock kick off and the Feds delaying our crossing of the bridge for five minutes to boot.
Luckily I parked in the gym and got him back for deportation!

No simply because I saw Kennedy have a positive impact on a game (once mind!) at Bristol City when he won us that game with a free kick. I think it would be more fair to ask if he is the new Michael O’Neill.

I’d let the marketing staff have a right go at sorting the football out though.

Sadly it is about scoring 5-10 goals if you are a Premier League striker and he won’t get that. HOWEVER, there’s no point dragging the Scotland debate on, he’s had his chance (and been hung out to dry by Martinez in my opinion with the lack fo support up front) so we should move on.

Talking of moving on, I’m actually looking forward to going to Sunderland on Saturday and giving the lads a bit of support. 30 odd thousand of them and a few hundred of us, always the best days out when you manage to sneak a win!

There’s plenty of room for constructive criticism!

One thing I forgot to add was how totally one-dimensional we are, in that it’s always pass-pass-pass with hardly any mix up in play. At times we should just play the percentages, shove Charlie and who ever is on the other side a bit higher up the pitch and put a few balls in the corners, get their fullbacks turning. We seem to play everything in front of our opposition and get behind them very little. Bobby is just showing extreme naivety or stupidity at the moment and I’m not sure which way to go on that.

I thought that in the first half Sinclair did alright and looked to be getting some headway down the flank but in the second half we just never gave him the ball. He certainly worked a lot harder than he has recently.

Koumas on the other hand, had the ‘pleasure’ of sitting behind the dugout for a change tonight and he wasn’t interested in sitting in the dugout and just trotted down the tunnel after Jonesy had a word in his ear. Whoever was sat behind me certainly wasn’t Jason’s biggest fan. Saying that, he has had more chances than anyone to make his mark but he’s clearly happy to sit and take the wage, turning down Cardiff again says as much.

Gomez and Scotland just can’t cut it at this level. One can’t finish and needs to leave the club for his own state of mind (why did we turn Barnsley’s bid down?) and the other makes half-arsed tackles, slows the game to a standstill and then passes it back to the back 4 to ‘build’ again. I don’t think Scharner should go without criticism either, he’s been a joke the last few weeks. Surely his ego has took a battering at still being with us.
