I’d say most people on here have lost the plot.
nope just one, again
I said possibly take three points, I didn’t guarantee it you clown. We did it at Wolves, Villa, Burnley and have drawn at Sunderland and Stoke, our away form isn’t that bad. The players probably feel a lot more comfortable without tools like you in the ground slagging them off.
What sort of fan are you that you’ve just accepted defeat a week before the game is even played. Talk about talking us down.
Spurs were better than us but even after a blatant offside goal, the game was still close on 80 minutes. latics pushed forward and got caught, spurs got their second and cue all the hysterical bellends like you to launch a tirade
At least if we got relegated you might disappear off back from where you came, I don’t care how many games you’ve been to, you certainly weren’t using the old cockney latics forum in the lower division
the smallest club in the league with one of the smallest budgets and wage bills trying to implement a new playing style having sold all best players before he joined with the bulk of the money banked elsewhere and he has kept us out the relegation zone all season despite the ingratitude of a number of the fans of the club
Stay.
The club IS imploding. And if you think we will survive this season, then you are more deluded than he is!
We’ve just gone a handfull of games unbeaten, then lost to Spurs.
The only ones imploding are those who can’t cope with a little pressure.
Well said, the voice of reason. 15th in the league with an away at Birmingham next week which we could possibly take if not 3 then 1 point from. New pitch to be re-laid for Liverpool game as well, and they are cack at minute. Pompey – thats a club imploding, there but for the grace of God and all that.
Yes, it is sad.But if it’s the Championship next season, I will embrace it. I’ll go to more away games, and will probably enjoy the football more than the media whore that the Premiership is.
I don’t actually ‘Fear’ “the journey ending”. Personally, I’ve found the past 4 and half seasons a ‘chore’. Honestly.
Maybe a relegation will rid us of the mercenaries at the club, and we can build a hungry team again, including the likes of McCarthy, Moses, and the two Poles. Build a steady side, and hover around the play off places. Something to play for. Renewed optimism. I mean, whatever happened to us takin 3,000-4,000 to away games, like we did at Leeds, Leicester, etc?
Or maybe we will sell all our decent players in order to cover our debts and future losses due to us getting sub 10k crowds because whelan uses the parachute money to pay off the debts which are no longer sustainable with championship crowds as all the fickle fans desert because we are no longer in the premier league and fa cup sized crowds become the norm. Maybe we will have no money to sign new players, nor will we be able to bring any through due to our lack of youth policy and are just left with the deadwood who no-one wants and maybe we will have to accept less than market value for our few premier league class players because they want away like Cattermole did. Maybe no-one will travel away when they realise that most championship clubs charge £25-£30 a pop these days. Maybe Whelan will pull out because he sees no benefit in backing a club which the wigan public will no longer support and due to lack of interest from elsewhere, the club is liquidated due to overheads being so far in excess of turnover that it becomes insolvent.
When you see a game like that Wire v Wigan game you realise what real sport is like.
No primadonnas diving and looking for free kicks and penalties, no crowding the referee and swearing at him.
No cry babies when they get a hard tackle.(that’s a laugh)Simply the greatest spectator sport in the world.
If it is the greatest spectator sport in the world, can you explain why no-one is interested in the game throughout the world save for those with a WA or WN postcode, parts of Yorkshire and a small corner of France, Australia and New Zealand?
I am intrigued as to how you can make a statement that something is the greatest spectator sport in the world when 99.9% of the world completely ignores it
Just another rugby liar I guess
If they did boot them out they would quickly reform as a fans run club, they’d lose all the jokers who are only their for Premier League ride. They’d probably have to start off in the Wessex league or summat but their true fans would probably have a ball and seeing what has happened to Wimbledon and Newport County is a source of inspiration. If it happened to us I doubt people would put the work in to make it happen ( like with Wigan Boro etc football in the town has dies out before ) and you’d still get the tits on here moaning about whether we are playing the right formation if we were in the West Lancs league rather than being grateful that we actually have a club to support
Pompey will be right though. Got a good mate who’s a Southampton fan and he was bricking it over the summer but he’s enjoying his football again now ( maybe not yesterday ) and looking forward to doing a Leeds next season when they don’t have to start with a ten point deduction
Maybe that was because the first half tries were scored in front of the 500 or so visitors.
You really let yourself down sometimes mutty. Saw some of this game in the pub and having seen several hundred football games at the DW and sitting right up near the away end I can tell you that if it was a football crowd, the next programmee would have said there were around 1,500 in there. I know what 500 looks like because that’s what FUlham bring and there was three or four times that in there. Even one of the rugby lads who came in the pub after the game said 1,500 – a decent one not one of your bitter Latics-hating cyber warriors. I presume the 12,000 Wiganers, sorry 8,000 when you take the out of towners out were all under the stand then?
Still if lying makes you feel better, let’s face it the rugby have been at it for years e.g. they count all season tickets as being in attendance whether they turn up or not. Latics get shit about their crowds from the likes of you but at least they are truthful about them.
Now as football is a product sold to us through our respective clubs can I just say that as a paying customer I am not happy !
On to the analogy…. If you pay good money for a meal and for whatever reasons the food isn’t up to scratch you grumble and moan or even summon the waiter. Now as a paying customer of Wigan Athletic I too have every right to grumble and moan if I am not too happy with my purchase ( Season Ticket ) ! Now this ” Give him time ” stuff I keep hearing, moving back to the analogy….Would you frequent a restaurant if you had had a couple of ropey meals and then found out that the chef was actually still learning his trade without the assistance of a chef who had experience of preparing meals to meet customers needs ? Probably not ! Especially if he kept making the same mistakes !
Well I am one of those unfortunate diners and I aint been fully sated in a long time ! So can we get someone in to assist him please because his souffle is as flat as the atmosphere in his restaurant !!If you compare supporting a football club to going for a meal at a restaurant then you clearly do not have a clue about what supporting a football club is all about
Another four page on this subject on the rugby board. Full of fatties wishing relegation and extinction upon Latics

And they call us bitter Blues
Some nasty pieces of work on there
What the Standish mon said.
Nobody ever played better as a result of being booed. Compare us to Stoke fans. They might be a bunch of six fingered backward talking inbreds but they showed our lot up on Tuesday. They turned up in good numbers and sang their hearts out, had to endure what was a woeful first half for them, 1-0 down and could have been a couple more. They didn’t boo them off at HT, they came back 2nd half and sung even louder. Nearly cheered their team on to a win whilst all around me people are hurling abuse, barracking and booing our team. All that cack in the press about us not deserving a Premier League team, well if certain fans continue to get on their backs all the time then they will no doubt boo us all the way back to the Championship
Griff that was sh ite :roll:What’s up, is he winding you up? ;)
IF Portsmouth do go under, we lose a home game! Does that mean Im going to get some money back on my season ticket!?Can the Inland Revenue put a team out in Pompey’s absence?
We’d still play one up front ;)
Gomez deserves to be boooooood as he is a lazy waste of space. I do not think he should be booed for coming on but after he has had another lazy performance as fans we deserve to question his ability to pull on a shirt and by booing this is our way of showing.Martinez also should have been booed on Tuesday as he lost us the game from a winning position yet again by being stupid with his subs and having no tactical knowldge.
I pay my money to watch the team and am one of the few who bother to go away from home so I will boo at every chance I get when they do not perform as they should. They get good money and are asked to try hard in training and try hard on the field that is all we ask as fans. Gomez does not try hard and there fore insults us as paying supporters.
Jason Scotland on the other hand does try hard but is not good enough to play the lone striker role so probably does not deserve to be booed.
As for being racist, I find Gomez offends me by being lazy and to be racist one must find another behaviour offensive therefore Gomez is also a racist.
Rant over boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooAnd when we reach the end of the season whether we stay up or go down and someone asks you what part you played in it, what will your response be
“I booed them”
He’s still not received international clearance, and therefore will NOT play tomorrow.Best not back him for 1st goal then
