    Wigan Athletic’s win at Sheffield Wednesday means they’ve beaten every team they’ve met – 98 in total since joining the League in 1978

    Sorry, my mistake! 98 and there are only 92 clubs in the league.

    Did you find somewhere to park the car?

    Every Premier and Football League team that they’ve played, that is.

    But not every Europa League team.

    Do you know how many domestic league teams they have played?

    I’d expect two holding players in midfield;

    Al-Habsi
    Perch Boyce Barnett Beausejour
    Watson McCann
    Waghorn McArthur McClean
    Maynard

    Rosler still has to make room for Powell and perhaps McEachran too.

    Just a little bit of fiddling. Anyway, it was enough to end Wednesday’s run.

    Did they line up like this?

    Al-Habsi
    Perch Boyce Barnett Beausejour
    Waghorn Watson McCann McClean
    McArthur
    Maynard

    Cardiff drew 0-0 with Villa. Roll on Saturday

    I also know Dartmoor and Dawlish quite well, and Porthleven too.

    The power of the sea is fantastic but frightening.

    Thank you for this opportunity, JT.

    What are his views on a 3-man and a 4-man back line?

    Has he a preference?

    Would he prefer to play one system consistently or is he prepared to change from game to game?

    Does he decide the formation;
    depending on the players available?
    depending on the opposition?

    Thought-provoking article.

    Perhaps you should also take into account home and away games – Coyle’s away form was shocking.

    Best reason for standing terraces – you can stand with your mates.

    Best reason for seats – you can sit down.

    I spent a week in Aberystwyth last year, staying in a sea-front hotel.

    The weather was hot, not a cloud in the sky. We were planning to go back this year.

    At least it weren’t 9-0

    In 1977, Spurs beat Bristol Rovers 9-0.

    Thank you, JR!

    Then perhaps it was a little more like this, accepting that formations are flexible;

    Al-Habsi
    Perch Boyce Barnett Crainey
    Waghorn Watson Gómez Beausejour
    McArthur
    Fortuné

    It certainly seems a little eccentric. Let’s assume it’s a temporary solution to the absence of Powell.

    On Tuesday, it’s away to Wednesday. They are on a good run, unbeaten for eleven games. But they were lucky on Saturday, playing against ten men for eighty minutes.

    Out of interest, on Tuesday, Cardiff are home to Aston Villa in another relegation battle.

    Besides, the ridiculous comments fill up the empty space.

    If you take them all away, there isn’t a lot of conversation left.

    I’m sure someone could tell me formation we employed at Huddersfield. Was it 4-4-2 this week, something like this?

    Al-Habsi
    Perch Boyce Barnett Crainey
    McArthur Watson Gómez Beausejour
    Waghorn Fortuné

    Plus cup ties and the play offs!

    Six teams are fighting for sixth place. Wigan are one of them.
