God help them if they come up next season with Fitz Hall in the back 4, they’ll be even worse than last season.
He’s been on SSN saying he didnt want to put the club into debt that could get out of control for Ruben, sounds like maybe they moved the goalposts at the last minute.
Oh and all those who think he’s a tightwad, just have a look at Pompey/Leeds for what happens when you spend unrealistic sums on players.
I think Vince, this has a lot to do with the first season they came to Wigan, I remember being told by someone who was working in the North Stand that night that Everton fans were the worst he’d ever seen at Wigan, and that includes the likes of Millwall, Cardiff, Leeds etc.
like i said give the lad a chance,oh by the way i am not your
son and i have been watching the latics as long as you have mate :) :) :) :) :)Spot on Vat….there are some of our so-called fans who would rather see us fail than make a go of things, I’m absolutely convinced that a number of our supporters arent happy unless they can have a legitimate moan about all things Latics.
I think the fact that Loudmouth nearly always refers to Martinez as “the Spanish one” tells you that he never really wanted him in the first place (fair enough), but then isnt prepared to give him any leeway whatsoever and is constantly on his back.
Things arent going as well as we hoped but with “fans” like NatDan, we dont need enemies, take a tip from us all, if you hate us that much, go and watch Bolton or something. The “Martinez out” tirade is getting even more tiresome now, change the record or at least make constructive criticism and come up with a sensible way forward if Martinez was to leave.
If he has gone on strike I hope Whelan shows some balls and bans him completely from our club until his contract runs out…don’t know when its up, but if its a couple of years, lets see who comes in for a bloke who hasnt even trained with us for 2 years, that said, its probably bull and I expect him to play tonight
What about a variation on City’s “invisible man” song
“He is not, he’s not really here”
At least that sounds as though it could be sorted if its add-ons etc and as we all know, if a player wants to move, he usually gets his way.
Its not clear from their website whether the clubs havent agreed terms or whether its us and Ruben. I thought Villareal had already stated they’d agreed terms on their website, so it could be that we cant agree terms with the player, in which case thats probably the end of it.
Not only that, but they’re critisizing one of the best chairmen in the league…..absolute idiots some of them Mackems.
I dont agree with everything he says/does but to come out with that comment is crazy…can people not see the bigger picture with Whelan, that instead of having a very good chance of making it through to the FA Cup 5th round tomorrow and enjoying our 5th Premier League season, without Whelan we would have been in the Conference North or something and probably be playing someone like Fleetwood Town (no disrepect) tomorrow.
Weren’t Cambridge City in a lower division than Canvey Island, and if I remember rightly, in about 83 we played Whitby Town, not sure what division they were in at the time, but I’m sure it wasnt the equivalent of todays Conference.
Mosque, Synagogue???? I posted on here when the Villa game was postponed why I cant make Saturdays at the moment….havent been arrested and not praying or something either.
