Ok maybe the decision to send Caldwell off was a tad harsh but it is still no excuse to capitulate in that fashion ! Other teams have had players sent of early on this season against good sides and they didnt collapse like that ! It has happened too many times this season and needs addressing straight away. Right we have survived again and that is our positive but the negative of a truly awful goal difference needs to be the paramount issue to be dealt with when the lads return !
You miissed my point filmos, yet again another ref who wasnt consistant with his decisions
I actually think folk are overlooking the real issue which seems to happen for all hyped up games with such a climax. The referee’s seem to want the need for their moment and the occasion clearly gets to them. We are living in days where red cards are so paramount with rulebook quotes that decent common sense doesn’t get a chance in the game anymore. They got a penalty, a scoring chance repeated regardless of Caldwell’s sending off. He should have kept the lad on.I watched the first half and was too disgruntled with football, not the match, with the obvious twist and turns of a huge game with high stakes. I turned it off. The premier league can continue to rant how great they are for a little longer.
On the other hand my prediction that Caldwell would have a moment came quite true! Before the sending off Wigan were doing just fine.
Sends caldwell off and gives penalty for shirt pulling 1st foul, books zoggy for shirt pulling 1st foul, drogba blatently knocks boyce off the ball under refs nose the ref then points to 3 different fouls he has committed around the pitch warns him then waves him away
Thats fair doos…………..I just wish Whelan would stop chatting whale!..
(cattermole`s going nowhere,20 million warchest…Never employ a foreign manager, etc, etc………….)what part of cattermole instigating his own move didnt you understand :!:
sorry j but you moved the thread before i finished the other with same thread title
Correct me if i am wrong but bob as done the same as jewell and spud head this season and that was to keep us up,jewell kept us up on the last day of the season and was hailed a hero, bob as kept us up with 2 games still to play.I am no super fan as you put it,and i have said before i will not judge bob this season but i do think we have the right man for the job,if you are so brassed off with him why do you keep going to watch them, the new season starts in 4mths and you are already spreading your darkness
McCarthy dosent need bullard as a mentor from what weve seen of him this season hes doin alreat on his own and will be 3 times the player bullard is
no neither would i :!:

Be fair, its a massive achievement for that lot to finish above the likes of Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth….and they’ve managed to do it without cheatingIncidentally, haven’t they got a similar record to us in the Premier League recently, ie they’ve had 3 seasons where they’ve only just stayed up and yet the club that won the world cup celebrate the end of those seasons like the wc has been won again
is wasnt for the lack of trying to cheat yesterday, how many times did that cheat behrani go down in the box,and in my opinion they are a poorer team than us
Dont recall bob saying when he came that we would win the title under him in his 1st season or get us into europe,if i remember right he said something along the lines of staying up this season and then pushing for a top half finish in 2nd season.I wonder if the baggies fans will be bitching over di matteo not having any prem experiance next season,THIS OUR TEAM,BOB IS OUR LEADER GET BEHIND HIM
Tevez to send um down on last day of season
Dont think he said owt wrong myself, yea its a bit patronising when its your team but think he got it spot on, one good win doesn’t make it a good season.before todays game i am talking about, comments such as arsenal will walk it today ,wigan are down, hull go to liverpool on last day of season rafa wont play a full team there more intrested in europe whats spot on about that

its easy to blame individual players for the debacle on wednesday, and nothing went right for scharner and the more he tried the worse it got,but lets remember despite some of you saying its is because scharner has demanded martinez play him in an attacking midfield role,
the truth is, the clown in charge always pinned his hopes on the useless tosser gomez playing that role with koumas being the back up.one man is to blame for everything wrong at wigan athletic and you all know who.
