Aye. If Andy Liddle had one of his legs amputated! That French President hawking him around must be laughing his cock off!
http://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/93907/holt
Sounds like he’s doing a bloody awful job for a bloke who ain’t played for nigh on a year. 10 pts from 12 since he arrived and can’t get in our squad cos he won’t live in Pem!
We have signed some rubbish I know that. Riera and Delort look worse than Holt whilst the energy we lack in midfield should surely mean a chance for Espinoza. Still. Lets keep recycling the same shite!
No he didnt. Maybe if we forget how Uwe transformed the team he inherited from Coyle and an entire 6 months. On Tuesday against Forest as hard as we battled we hardly had a shot on target. Delort was pathetic and Barnett more commanding when he came on. No point Rosler having a squad if he cant look for fresh impetus in a team that is struggling.
Still lets stick with a powder puff Frenchmon and an over rated Spaniard who have made as little impact as Holt in his first couple of months. To invest 7 million in Holt, give him 3 months under Coyle then write him off is crackers. Lets see if our current dangermen bully the Wolves defence on Saturday.
Well not one started on Saturday so hard to say they are first 11 at present. The clubs best successes have rarely been in the league cup. In fact final season aside its predominantly been a competition we have been poor in. Blackpool away under Bobby was far worse than last night. Crewe perhaps on a par. Bolton and Blackburn lost at home to Bury and Scunthorpe. Its typical of how serious most clubs treat the early stages.
Hang on a minute. Talk about panicking about nowt. Anyone could see the transformation Rosler orchestrated last season despite the fact the team had played a record number of games and were out on their feet come the end of the season. For those that went to QPR they will know that game could have gone either way and the team battled to the end. The cup run too was fantastic.
Fresh season. Fresh faces. We draw at home in a disappointing performance against a team who were constantly in the top 6 all season last year then make 10 changes against lower opposition in a cup we could well do without and lose. Suddenly folk are almost calling for his head! Unbelievably fickle and short sighted. I (like many others with a brain) will reserve judgement on the current squad until at least Mid September when new faces have settled in and old faces have recovered from injuries.
Good luck to the lad. He certainly divided opinion and never looked up to the pace or physicality of the Premier league (even Bobby mostly played him from the bench). However, when we dropped down his technical ability shone in the Championship no doubt. Certainly didn’t deserve most of the stick he got but he, like the majority in our squad ain’t irreplaceable either. Let’s hope Uwe can bring some quality in.
18 goals in 145 games in six years. Prolific!
Certainly is by the standards of our current strike force.[/quote]
Not really. Waghorn and Maynard averaged 1 goal every 4 games this season. In the Premier league Di Santo scored 14 goals im 122 appearances. Even Fortune scored 11 in 79 which is a marginally better strikerate.

Perhaps its the free coaches?
Which goals has Ali been culpable for? Which goals should he have left his 6 yard box for? Carsons dropped a good few clangers, Nichols may be decent but unfortunately for him his mistake got us knocked out of Europe. For those of us that go away you will remember the superb performances at Derby, Reading, Bolton and Brighton where Ali single handedly kept us in games. Now just cos Carson played well at Wembley he’s a world beater despite the fact that Ali hasnt made a mistake of note.
Despite the fact Ali has been superb since he came back in, has kept us in many a game and hasnt been at fault for any goal lets just drop him so the consistent starting 11 most crave on here can be cemented. Its not blind panic we need now but calm heads. If we can get into play offs anything can happen. QPR are hardly on fire and we have beaten all the other teams in contention in recent weeks.
So let’s get this right. He’s seriously fucked up for not playing a fella who has played 90 minutes in 7 months( (Maloney), a bloke who was injured (Waghorn) and two fellas in Roger and Macmanaman who haven’t been first choice all season. Forgetting the fact that Espinoza has just come back from a hernia op in America and Callum only has 60 minutes in him before looking shattered in practically every game he plays. Aye. Get all four playing 2 full games back to back in a meaningless match that will ensure we finish in exactly the same opposition as we would had we won it! Makes perfect sense.
Some of the comments above defy logic. Fortunately Rosler has more than most!
We have played more games than any club in football league history yet Rosler is castigated for not playing 4 lads in back to back games who are either injured or coming back from injury in a game that was of limited importance. Its obviously better to give those players a week to rest before assuring us of the three points we need to guarantee 5th place. Once that is attained its a matter of getting the players in the best shape possible before the QPR double header. End of.
