I’ll refrase that ,
All the train companies in Britain.I was also on the “Noah’s (urine) Ark” return leg with 1 toilet boxed off and mass flooding in the other.
Now I’ve just need to get out the habit of p1ssing in sinks.
If takeover is completed then we will see how committed they are come January.Looking at yesterday’s performance January will be too late. 12 months to take over a club doesn’t sound like the new owners are in any kind of rush. Infact, it looks more and more like a cleverly timed plan so they don’t have to spend anymore than needed.
As I’ve said before, as we stand a relegation battle will take place from this Sat that’s unless between now and deadline we don’t bring in a couple of quality players.I thought the two’s up cross p1ssing in the toilets is something British Rail should consider bringing in as standard practice
If the rumours surfacing are correct he’ll be sold before the transfer deadline and if not he’ll be sent out on a season long loan.
Another one never given a chance before been shipped out.So what you’re saying is that you don’t trust the judgement of the man & his team who see him in training every day, & in reserve/development matches because you have barely seen him yourself??
How do you know that he’s not been given fitness targets in training that he’s missed? How do you know that he’s not been being asked to follow instructions in games & training & he’s just ignored them? How do you know that Cole himself hasn’t gone to Cook after the summer break & said he wants to leave?
Correct me if I’m wrong but when he came on for the few minutes I saw last season he did very well.
And you wanna get out those bushes with the binoculars and boom mic, by the sounds of it your stalking him in training no wonder he’s offI think the people taking over Latics are waiting to see if we stay up, p1ss around is the understatment of the year !.
It’s probably taken a couple of months for the investors take over at Villa while this lot must be counting the blades of grass just make sure DW hasnt pocketed anyImho the Championship is a step too far for Grigg as we already know. Why was Cole left at home when they went to Spain ?.
1 thing is for sure we need a huge improvement over last season. The divide between the Championship and League One level of play is bigger than ever. I just hope any new editions don’t become bench warmers simply because Cook has 1 way to play.Looking at our squad as it stands I can only see us struggling to compete with two thirds of the Championship teams, right now the squad is simply not strong enough, lets hope in changes in the next few weeks or we could be the new yo-yo club and mirror the likes West Brom and Birmingham
If we struggle to compete with two thirds then we are competitive with a third, which is enough to survive. That to me is the objective this year.
Competing with the bottom 3rd means 8 clubs and 3 go down. If we strengthen I cant see why we can’t finish mid table rather than a relegation scrap. If we are been taken over Aug/Sept that would be nearly 12 months. I can’t imagine a worse time just as the transfer window closes.
Why is Colclough and Cole not in Spain ?
It was 5 years ago since we last saw the best of him in a Latics shirt. Most Latic fans thought that at the time £4.75 million was a good bit er business when we sold him to West Brom.
Since then I heard he hasn’t set the world alight. I’m sure most players would jump at the chance of playing at a higher level so any Championship club would have turned any players head.
I’m sitting on the fence on this one as I haven’t seen much of him since he left Wigan. The club must be thinking the same as they have only offered him a 12 month deal.
His link with the club will never be broken as he played a massive part in lifting the FA Cup, welcome home Callum and good luck for the coming season and prove the doubters and 50/50 crew like me wrongIf promotion was the only factor then all the paperwork would have been completed. There must be something else holding it up, the takeover process has been going on since late last year.
You would have thought that within weeks of us gaining promotion we’d be under new ownership and Cook would know this seasons budget and players would be arriving but it seems like were waiting for the Prem to settle then pick up players on loan from the bigger local clubs and more than likely Liverpool or Everton.
There’s no harm in that but lots of Prem clubs are starting to stick appearance clauses into the loan contract which is fair play. I mean, why would the bigger clubs send them out on loan for them to simply learn how to keep the bench warm ?. This is why lots of today’s bigger clubs have started sending their young players to say Germany were they will be guaranteed 1st team minutes on the pitch.
Looking at our squad as it stands I can only see us struggling to compete with two thirds of the Championship teams, right now the squad is simply not strong enough, lets hope in changes in the next few weeks or we could be the new yo-yo club and mirror the likes West Brom and Birmingham
beers cheaper in spain for cookie and coYeah if your drinking the local nats wazz
You can only imagine Whelan will be wanting to retain some parts of the club/facilities and the IEC ain’t to happy about it.
If it takes 9 months to take over a small club then something just isn’t right. If it’s still going through then I would imagine any signings Cook wants to make will have to go by both partys old and new.
How long will Cook put up with it ?, Surely the lack of new better players doesn’t look good on his partIt took a prison sentence to iron out Tony Adams but he came back a completely different man who has earned much respect. He’s done it twice and still not got banged up. 3rd time ? kill someone ?, I’m sorry but a big no no for me. He reckons he’s a binge drinker not an alcoholic so he’s yet to face his demons unlike Adams.
If it were you or me you’d be behind bars. There are so many footballers getting away with D&D high profile players, those young kids look up to its scary. They get few grand fine, hire a driver or fork out £1000’s for taxis it doesn’t affect them in any shape or form.
It took 2 pops for him to be sacked, do it once granted, could be a mistake, twice ? the guys an alcoholic with no regards for others.
Read up on the 2nd accident, how the fook no one was killed is a miracleYou have yo look at the actual drink driving offences Darren Gibson WAS found guilty of. The first one he nearly killed 3 cyclist who were fixing a broken chain at the road side then colliding with a petrol pump. Then the second offence he didn’t just wing a taxi mirror he hit another and shunted it 50 yard down the road into a wall.
After he was arrested for the second offence it was discovered he had been on strong medication/sleeping tablets and downed a bottle of Vodka the night before plus drinking that morning. He shouldn’t step anywhere near the DW that’s unless he playing for Bolton. For me it’s the nature of the offences, they aren’t your normal dickhead have a few pints then decide drive home and be a few mill over, he was 3 times over and pilled up to the nines. For his second offence he should have been jailed for 6-9 months but hey ho he’s a footballer so. Then I read in court he said it was a combination of things and told the court he was bullied when he was 15 which explains it all, abit like Britain’s got talent.
Paul Cook needs his head testing, I don’t give a flyer about how impressive he was against Tranmere it sends the wrong message out regarding the club, the same message (at the time) hiring Malky MacKay sent out. What we need to do is bring in young some young players hungry for success who value their career and strive to go onto bigger and better things not a guy who’s off the rails nearing the end of his career.
It says released not a season long loan, Sidwell and Rosenior were both released, I think Sky just got it wrong
