Here we go the Malky thread suddenly becomes the race & religion thread, didn’t take long
I know they will more than likely be the league’s whipping boys but we could do with getting a big win tomorrow to boost morale. How do you work that one out , were a point above them and at this moment in time we couldn’t hit a barn door from 2ft. With no money and McArthur and Ramis looking like they’ll be off it’s going to be a long long season.
Live in hope hey ffs grim up northThats the prob we cant let that transfer if it is going to happen go to the last minute we need it done quick so we can reinvestYou’ve got be kidding !, you’ve more chance platting a turd.
When Ronseal’er took over the only thing I saw different was the players working their sacks off chasing every last ball. To be truthful I didn’t see much difference tactically from the dark days of Coyle’s reign were ping pong took president.
The lack of signings and average players on top money is a recipe for the drop
Will I still go ????
I’ve no choice, I’m too old to stop
Burnley are back in for McArthur and who would blame him cause I know I would.
Thats why he his waiting on a bid for a striker one rumoured to be cameron jerome but i have a feeling we r going to get taylor fletcher on loanGarcia’s gone. As for Tavernier, yes he looked good in pre season, but shocking at Burton.Garcia’s a season long loan so theoretically he’s still a tic but what’s the point ? he’s two years left, it’s not like he’s a kid he’s 26. Give him chance or fire him off.
I now understand why so many Prem teams slip quickly down into Div 1. Once the Prem money dries up a full rebuilding is needed and done on the ultra-cheap
There’s something just not right with player’s we’ve signed and team selection,
Taylor
Cowie
Riera
non of who I can say I’d heard much of before they arrived and they don’t set the world alight. Then Garcia ? what’s the point ? if you don’t fancy him just get shut. Tavernier’s another, he does well pre-season but doesn’t get a sniff. Then there’s the back line your basically guessing who’ll be on the team sheet with all the chopping and changing game to game.
There’s too much emphasis on fitness and not enough on tactics and team selection. If 5-6 players were not fit on the opening game of the season they should be fined, end of. It’s their job and duty to maintain fitness 365 a year and a couple of weeks boot camping it (so to speak) should see the ready to go,, its all a load of bollox saying he’s not “match fit” you either are or you aren’t that for me was an embarrassing statement saying players are not fit on KO day.And last but not least Holt, ………………………. fill the gaps in yourself
I’ve a feeling Wood’s late equalizer against Everton will put paid to that deal. What’s more worrying is the attacking and goal scoring chances we are making.
I remember watching a Brentford live game last season not long after Rosler had left and one of the Brentford players was interviewed on the pitch.
He was asked what’s the difference now Rosler has gone , it words similar he said “we don’t get our ears bent with all the shouting”. Like a parent/school teacher/boss, if you shout long and loud enough people will eventually take no notice of you and even resent you.
Does this mean Forshaw’s on his way to Wigan ?
:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28804313I don’t think their that far off the mark, they have the one thing we don’t have to keep McArthur at Wigan:-
Premiership Football
As I mentioned in the other thread, I have a feeling he will leave and the money will be used to fund the Forshaw’s overpriced move to Wigan, right now it’s something we could do without McArthur leaving. You can’t buy experience , something we desperately need to pull this disjointed outfit together
If it wasn’t for McArthur on Saturday we would have looked like relegation fodder. I still have a feeling if Forshaw does decide to come to Wigan Mcarthur will end up in the Prem, 1 in 1 out , like for like no improvement to the squad. As I predicted , looks like Burnley are in for McArthur , won’t be long before he’s off.You can put your bottom dollar on Forshaw coming to Wigan.
I to wasn’t thrilled with the performance saturday, but refuse to spit my dummy out like you have sunshine. Lets leave it at that for now. B)No dummy out there matey/sunshine whatever you wanna call me, as in the words of good old Roy Walker “Say what you see” and what I saw was a bag of runny diyo.
Then there was McArthur shrugging his shoulders at Rosler when Waghorn was subbed as if to say, “what we doing now ?” and Fortune looking like he’d lost a winning lottery ticket just after scoring a cracker Tuesday.
I think there’s something not right in the camp, time will tellNot sure if anyone has seen this. It is a half hour programme which interviews a top flight manager. I caught the last 5 minutes with gus poyet, then the next programme was an interview with martinez.
He spoke fondly of his time at wigan & his relationship with whelan, & how whelan gave him his blessing to join everton. He also went onto say that if our FA cup final had been the final fixture of the season & we had played arsenal at some point during the normal season, even as the last league game of the season, he strongly believes we would have stayed up.Throughout the programme he came across as very respectful towards every club he has been at & seems to learn a great deal about that club.
Interestingly he rates swansea’s survival from league 2 greater than wigans FA cup win. For all the glory of winning the cup, he states that staying in the football league was of far greater importance as it would have meant swansea playing semi professional.
Throughout the interview he came across as the perfect gent like he always did during both his playing & managerial days at wigan, hence the reason why i personally cant help but like the bloke on a personal basis. But, its probably that same reason why i feel resentment & the way i do for him leaving. Had he have kept us up or stayed for one more season to try to get us promoted then decided to leave, i believe he would have gone with even the most critical’s blessing. IMO it is like myself losing my job, then the next day my wife leaving me for someone else with a job & a better one at that. I know he, like everyone else, has the right to get him/herself a new job, but the way he left hurt the most than any other & why i hope everton achieve nothing this season.
Martin,who ?
then make 10 changes against lower opposition in a cup we could well do without and lose. Those 10 changes weren’t a bunch of trainees you know , you talk like we played kids to get knocked out. The clubs best successes weren’t in the League but in the Cups so to say we could do without it is the easy way out for another poor performance and another loss,
So your saying these lot are the 2nd team ??
