Can see why Cook let him go. Doesn’t sound like his type of player.
Seem to remember some big advertising board getting ripped down or falling down. Packed in like sardines. Certainly made a mockery of the safety restrictions put on Latics at Springfield Park not long after by the Rugby loving council down at Wigan Kremlin. (Bastards swanning about in years to come at our Cup winning parade)
Whenever anyone mentions the playing of weakened sides I always think of Ian Holloway’s Blackpool getting a hefty fine for making a few changes against Villa. They only lost the game by the odd goal and the likes of united were fielding weakened teams against the teams at the bottom of the league on a regular basis.
I know that was a league game but rules for one and rules for others at its best.Looking at the liverpool team on show at the moment vs Shrewsbury – they’re all kids.
Our under 23’s beat a liverpool under 23’s recently. Shrewesbury could only hold them to a draw. We should do ok with our youngstefs in league one next season.Month.
If he was fully fit he’d be at a club bigger than ours.
He’s probably here because no other club use medical staff that use white sticks and labradors
He certainly has been a total waste of money yet again by Cook. My God he’s squandered some money our Cooky!!Now our hapless manager will surely be fighting tooth and nail to keep his preferred leader of the attack from the last two months. Or won’t he? He may just be thinking that’s another half million the club have to pay him off.
Think if he played 20 games, scored 4 goals and we sold him for 30 million which we could spend on strengthening the squad most of us would be pretty happy.
Exactly the point Roy, Joffy could easily be as good if not better than Bellingham but Brum got him in and playing. Utd would never offer that for an academy player and that’s what Joffy will be as long as Cooko the clown is manager. Nobody wants the lad to leave but if his chances are limited sooner or later he will want to move on to continue his development.
We have a production line of great young talent coming through and most of them will have a bearing on the financial stability of the club. Whilst our public prefer watching the Greed League on Sky rather than supporting the Latics it will always be so. Like any product though they will need to be seen in the right place at the right time and that will mean having to play some first team football sooner rather than later. Most clubs nowadays use the 1 up front. If the service is poor then you’ll struggle. We could get Ronaldo and he’d be lucky to knock Dunkley off the top of the charts.
The way we set up on a match day then use subs says it all. At times we’ve 6 along the back and we still concede 2 a game. It’s not about 1 player up front it’s about 11 players across the board.
The Dingles play with two up top and both scored at Old Trafford tonight We need to follow suit and at least go down shouting and for once in a very long time entertainilng. Oh and a proper wide player in the mold of Wildschutt.

Naismith is not a defender contrary to what Cook thinks. Replace Robinson ? I don’t think so. Naismith’s turning into our pollyfilla player. Our recent goals conceded speaks for itself.Good luck to Robinson if he goes I don’t blame the lad. He has been the only shining light in this seasons mess.
It would be interesting to actually see Kal playing as a left winger or as a left sided attacking midfielder. It’s a shame that Robinson hasn’t had a decent left sided player to link up with. Maybe it’s worth a thought however it’s Cook we’re talking about.
