Windass was bossing the Derby defence and running them ragged. It’s hard to work out why he was taken off. Ok his finishing and final ball wasnt the finest but he was certainly an hand full for Derby. Why not leave him on and take off Lowe or Jacobs. Surely then with him and Garner on we could have been pushing the scoreline up a bit.
Derby were there for the taking but dear oh dear that was a disappointment against such a poor side.Absolutely toothless……table doesn’t lie…….he cannot motivate his players. Cannot defend a lead for a gold pig. .. .were down. Hierarchy wont pot him…..can’t win against shit opposition……Derby were awful. So poor and there for the taking.
Clock strikes 90 and we sitting pretty outside the bottom 3. How the fuck do we end up bottom??!!Cos of a dodgy Cook in the kitchen!

3-0 LaticsCan’t see us losing to Derby somehow. Just leave out Massey and Jacobs and at least give us a chance to attack with some sort of earnest. We have plenty choices instead of those two but Cooky just seems to persist with them.
A breathtaking four shots on target. Front one starved by a shite three behind him. Back four did ok protected by the two in front of them.
Negative line up with out of form players in that line up.
A Joyce like approach giving the result we prepared and played for.
Such a shame because Blackburn stunk.A negative lineup? We had 4 attacking players and created a pot load of chances we’re just not good enough at taking them. It wasn’t even remotely close to a Joyce style lineup or gameplan.
Or 1 striker with 5 midfielders two of who have been out of form all season and another who isn’t up to the standard of this league. The two others Morsy and Evans are a class above the other three who neither assist or support our ever more lonely looking one up top.
Great point though. The point Joyce liked to play for. Got to admit we are looking better and that is probably down to Evans being back who could link up well if there was something better in front of him. His passes are brilliant. Maybe a so called attacking mid of Pilkington Windass and Lowe with either Pilks or Lowe playing as an actual wide man with Windass behind or beside Moore. Who knows Lowe may even look better as a winger as that is what he is. May be a big ask though to see him play in position. You need to do better than that donny/jeff.Yes but we can not argue that four shots on target is pretty pathetic. Cook as either got to take a close look at his negative approach or just admit hes failed and go.

I might risk a cheeky £20 for a £100 return. Come on guys and gals join me, you know it makes sense. LolGood luck with that but do the robbing bookie gets read the current form. Rovers are on fire and we have fallen faster than pigeon with bird flue!
Head in the sands Royle and his puppet board with their hangers on may get a message from 2000 Latics fans if things go pear shaped yet again on Monday night.

Just a footnote to the above. There is part of me relishing the fact that we could be in for a relegation battle rather than us meandering into mid table obscurity, where matches have no importance. It was nice last season to sit and watch the last few games knowing the results didn’t matter, but on the other it was a tad boring.
Mid table obscurity would be nice just once in a while, it years since we had it.
This promotion, relegation, play off lark isn’t good for an old fucker like me every season, mixed with Cup Finals, semi’s and quarters finals, its exhausting.
It is Wigan Athletic though at the end of the day, it’s the way we do it, and if truth were told, we wouldn’t change much, would we?COYL
Only two things that desperately need changing. 1 the boring bilge that’s loosely described as football we play and 2 the manager who persists in playing the boring bilge that’s loosely described as football. Other than that spot on Horc.
Have you really found the last two matches boring bilge?
I was meaning in general JR the whole thing on show is not exactly awe inspiring. There was a glimmer of hope in the Albion game but still a lack of exciting wing play which I like and still only five shots on target. I reckon this isnt an amazing league but the whole 4-2-3-1 is dragging the game down as an entertainment thing at our level. Football seems all too bogged down with ten players competing with each other in midfield and strikers cast adrift.
Cant judge the boredom factor on Saturday as I didnt go. One £25-00 too many at this time of year. Hopefully we will resurect at least one real winger soon to get round defenders and serve an incoming striker like Moore but Ill hold my breath.Stretch.
