What about him and Steve Walsh as a double act/tag team…..we wouldn’t lack for battling spirit especially if thowd coot was thrown in as well!

Those jumping on the Barrows to blame bandwagon are out of order.
The guys a latics mon through and through a legend. His loyalty is being rewarded by the club.
As for Jewell, would be good but remember ther porn star tale behind his sacking…no way will whelan have him back even if he was available.

          A new turning point?
          Perhaps and hopefully.
I think we are a better away team than home, our defensive style is more suited to away, but by god it’s boring.
Didn’t get to Birmingham so would be interested to know the tactics employed. Wish radio seemed to be saying first half we were more attck minded than usual.

Away at Chester singing get yer tits out for the lads to Judith Chalmers who after repeated attempts to do a holiday to piece eventually stomped off in a hissy fit.

You may be surprised that I agree with both of you here.
The die hards are certainly up there with the most devoted fans out there, and their support is first class. Admittedly even they have been subdued and are turning against this present manager and team based in the current non performances.
My gripes revolve around the home moaners who never have a good thing to say. I only wish that they would do the Wigan walk before the game in another direction. It really pisses me off that there is a particular bloke that sits directly behind me in es3 chuntering the whole game, talking miserable bollocks and making a bad experience even worse. Why on earth go to the game if that’s your mentality.
Problem is we can’t afford to lose any paying speccys.

Cupwinners where did I say ALL our fans were the worst. I’m on about a sizeable majority,in fact I think disproportionately so, Not all.
Anyhow you seem unusually exercised about this maybe the cap fits and you are one of them!
I’ve been to plenty of away games in fact most away grounds by now, and i can tell you we do normally punch above our weight on the support then, the problem is at home from plastics. I’m at Blackburn with the diehards and will be fully behind the boys come what may. Will you?

It’s the plastics who have never seen us be crap before that are the problem here. They expect too much and if we don’t get it right are the moaning gets..never ever satisfied and won’t support us.
The club has its heart in the right place and I am proud to be a wiganer whatever, certainly it’s better when we play with style and win but if not I won’t be booing them off anytime soon….I’ve gone for 35years following them without resorting to that, hopefully I’ve another 35 years left in me. Happy clapper or miserable moaning get, neither but it’s better for your health to be a half clapper!

I despise the rugby as much as anybody, but if this is indeed a voluntary action then fair dos.
Mind you it will take many more selfless gestures to make up for lindsays never share a ground antics.

Cant say I’m surprised. Lack of loyalty and respect are not uncommon in football, but its a sickener when its one of ours. The bloke could have done thus a few days ago and given us a better bargaining position and chance to bring in other players. Selfish awful pig. Let him flatter to deceive somewhere else.

Jrfat and rich are bob on here. No shame in going down to a better team and our boys couldn’t have put more effort in.
Proud of them for that and the efforts to play solid build up and passing game when hoofball would have been the easy out. 4 nil massively flattered Man U.
Think the original poster is missing the obvious…we haven’t got many better options than to turn out the team we did and try and keep it tight for first 2/3 of game, unfortunately it didn’t work.

I agree. I’m lucky enough to fall in that “wealthy” bracket and get great value out of my season ticket but away game costs are expensive so I pick and choose. I could afford to go all if I really wanted to, but to volunteer to have my kecks pulled down to another clubs advantage really doesn’t appeal.

Isn’t it the case that the premier league away ticket are now capped at the twentys plenty rate?, if that’s so then to pay more for inferior product is plain stupid.

And whilst I’m on it…why are the prices for away supporters higher than the home supporters…rip off.

And another thing our prices for away fans do seem rather lower than what their clubs charge us at the corresponding away fixtures…rip off.

Jimmyc has hit the nail on the head.
I cannot understand the transfers especially moving out of those young promising guys and bringing in loanees whom are certainly no better and probably more expensive.
That’s the managers fault, but I also think the players are letting us down in game.
Whats happened to Bogan whenever he played for Bolton he was great, for us crap…spy in the camp?
And another thing last home game, it was stupid having Garbutt take that edge of box free kick…a rightsided loanee back getting sway over Gomez whom would have been ideally set. Ridiculous.
