I think most people would agree with me that he wandered off subject. The thread was clearly about on field cheating, in this case the Portsmouth guy feigning injury to make the situation look worse than it actually was or can we add references to footballers cheating on their wives/partners because that is also cheating footballers! ;) Mutty was on the wind up and you know it !

I’m the new one man board who decides on shit like this! :)I SINCERELY hope the club proves you wrong (not being funny there) because I think that would be the absolute death of this club and I doubt I’d be alone in wanting a refund. I’m keen on seeing young players come through, but not by being shoved into the mire like that.
There is a big difference between buying a car & supporting a football team & everyone knows that. If we all asked for refunds everytime the club sells a player, wigan athletic FC would have ceased to exist a long time ago.

I’ve jacked in bothering on any board now because it’s all miserable doom and gloom, nit picking at the club. I think it’s a Wiganer trait, being honest. I’m just getting on with watching the games and supporting the team.. and bloody well enjoying it!

Imagine if you purchased a car, a decent spec car with a certain high spec engine and certain tyres…say high spec Continental brand or something like that. Yet when you went to pick up the car and start using it, you noticed the tyres had been changed for cheap budget brands and the engine had been swapped for a 1.3 litre diesel. You’d say “what the feck?” And demand your money back, based on misrepresentation of sale. Wouldn’t you?

I agree Paul has been out of the game a good while but my post was in reaction to potentially having Gary back. Please God not that. Everything on the manager front just depends on a couple of things..What sort of wages they would get and the size of the war chest.
Personally I’d like Gary back.
But I understand why many wouldn’t, and I’m not sure it would be a good idea considering he was sacked and there were rumours of disharmony in the squad.
I expect the wages will be low and I can’t see there being much if any war chest – which will put off most candidates.

Really good performance and lovely to see them trounce a fairly decent side By four goals ,brilliant start to the season.
Liked the shape of the team and getting the transfer business done early on has helped cooky get the bonded into a solid unit with even Powell playing his heart out and he was easily the man of the match for me today.3 goals, just saying! ;)
