No beef here with the prices but what I don’t get is why you always have to pay more after a certain date? They should just name the prices and that’s it !
Is he still on the taxis? Him and Kurt Nogan used to get in some right states when they were out round Leyland! I used to see Lee a lot in the bookies in Longridge about 7 yrs ago so he must have a fondness of the place! I think he was managing Kendal Town back then!

Inverness are probably the same standard wise as any other League One side if not a bit better and so yes he would do well for us!

What does it matter if the new manager is religious or not? The comment was unnecessary and pointless, if you don’t fancy Jones as our next manager just say exactly that, there was absolutely no need to rubbish the guy for his faith or beliefs, seems like you posted that disparaging remark just for the sake of it![/quote]
Calling him a ‘God Squad Merchant’ is hardly rubbishing him is it! It’s a colloquial term for someone who bangs on about God. As for disparaging remarks, you have never been disparaging on here before have you!

One out of leftfield who has done an amazing job under terrible circumstances, Gary Bowyer at cesspool. I’m not inspired by the shortlist especially when Caldwell is on it. Surely the board cant be that stupid can they.Did a decent job at Rovers despite a transfer embargo and all the other shit going on at that club! I’d be more than happy with him!

You can argue about formations until the cows come home. The fact is whatever formation we played this season the emphasis was on caution and not getting beat and as a result of that and the lack of positivity going forward we scored fuck all and most people know that you have to score to win! Rosler had the right mindset when he first took over with his rapid movement through midfield within so many seconds tactic but for some strange reason something went wrong and he lost the dressing room and eventually the confidence of his chairman?
Rosler talked that tactic but he sure as hell never played it. Ever.
at the end of the day, there is no right or wrong formation per se. The right formation is the one that suits the players you have at your disposal.
Last summer, Caldwell seemed to make the decision to abandon the 4-3-3 system that one him Lge1 (it wasn’t 1 up top) & go for a wing back system. problem was that the players he had weren’t suited to that system & in all honesty many weren’t good enough for the championship – that became clear during pre-season. Another problem was that many of the players that he assumed would be able to handle the system & the step up (Grigg, Power, Jacobs, Wildschutt) either couldn’t or blew hot & cold. A final problem was that most of the players he did bring in were either garbage or not suited to the system either.
Latics weren’t scoring exactly free scoring early doors but the goals were there but Caldwell got the jitters at the 4-3 defeat to Forest & decided to tighten it up at the back. It worked but the goals dried up. He couldn’t get the balance right.
Joyce came in & clearly didn’t rate the squad & decided to go for an approach of being hard to beat & nicking goals on the break. I thought it looked good against Huddersfield but he didn’t have the players for that system long term either. His recruitment was even worse than Caldwell’s & he just retreated into a more & more defensive set up.We didn’t go down coz we played one up top[/quote]
Rosler took us to the play offs and another FA Cup semi final with what I thought was decent football but something went wrong the following season and since then the rot has set in. Yeah we bounced back, who wouldn’t in our circumstances but the rot is back!
