VAT69, can you please elucidate to us all what a “Band wagoner” is ? I for one have never proclaimed to have been at Goole in 1980 or Frickley in whatever distant year gone by. I started going on about a third way through the season we came up from Championship. Now since my first game I have NEVER missed an home game. Am I a “Band wagoner” or a relatively new fan. A fcukin good one at that !
I mentioned in an earlier post that all was not well when he stormed down the tunnel after getting subbed against Wolves ! Now when a player is angry at being subbed what does it tell you….Well as I see it a player angry at being brought off is angry because he wants to play for his team and probably thinks or knows that there were others doing worse than him at the time ! At least both him and Cattermole got stuck in and intimidated the opposition but now we are left with a feeble midfield bereft of the skills required of for Bob’s new tactics ! From what I have seen so far it is like pass the parcel in midfield, only the parcel is laden with high explosives ! PS The back four dont look to comfortable with the ball either !
a. Thats your opinion.b. Oasis made guitar music popular again and bands such as Coldplay and Kasabian have stated that Oasis influenced them.
Oasis got me into music, because of them I learned how to play the guitar and started to listen to other bands such as The Who, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Kinks etc.
You only need to know 4 chords to play most of Oasis stuff anyway ! The more intricate stuff was nicked off the Beatles. A child could play most Oasis songs after just a couple of lessons ! A truly unoriginal band who hoodwinked a nation of non musical people !

I personally dont believe a word that comes out of his mouth. You can defend him Griff and what you say about the independent quote does make sense but why come out with patriotic crap like that in the first place ? The Prem was already a hot bed for foreign imports and he was just being plain stupid coming out with that. It is like his sanctimonious rant on TV about the national side getting a foreign manager,next thing ya know he has got one in for us ! Then he is on TV again and its all over the papers ” Lee Cattermole is definitely NOT FOR SALE ” Next thing ya know he has gone ! I truly think now that this club is collapsing from within and players are jumping ship, ie Brown, Figueroa and also the aforementioned Cattermole ! There are too many people still looking up to him for his past endeavors to the club but as you just quoted Griff things can change in 5yrs and in my opinion Whelan has changed for the worse ! I am not green or stupid not to know that the sale of Springfield Park lined his pockets handsomely and that deep down he is looking after No.1 and ya cant blame him , most of em are but he is making a mockery out of this club now and it is time he moved on to pastures greener because if you cant see whats happening Griff, I can ! I haven’t jumped on a “Whelan out” bandwagon, I have observed certain things and formed a totally lucid opinion of him and everybody is entitled to their respective opinions on here so I am merely sharing mine ! Some will no doubt lambaste me while others will agree !
The first rose tinted glasses quote of the Carling cup doesn’t matter ! The Carling Cup has been the only highlight of our sad existence in the Prem to date ! Unless you class a do or die final game against Sheff Utd as being a highlight !

Not at all but its a game we shouldn’t have relied on really is it ! The atmosphere that day was just the same as when we beat Reading to go up ! Now that is quite ironic because it was 2 successes one of which was a result of failure if you get my drift !Airborne, f**k me it’s AC/DC for a new generation, I like it they’ve just jumped to the top of my bands to see list!I saw em at Liverpool Academy few month ago and they blew me away ! The day that I’m bothered by the opinions of someone who spells “of” as “ov”, spells “he has” as “he as”, and doesn’t know that the first personal pronoun is written with a capital letter, is the day I give up my season ticket.
It’s also the day I’ll worry about what crowds we are getting. I’ll be there – I really don’t care if others want to come or not.
