Me too. Have posted a question to admin about it on the non footy board.

Seems to be “optimising” for mobile devices, but only really useable in landscape mode which is a bit inconvenient when I need one hand free…for driving, etc ;)

Is there an option to view the full website page anywhere?

Whether he is telling the truth or not, what Bickmon has said above is definitely true.
He got us in to this shitty mess so he should have had the bottle to try to get us out of it. Spineless git.
That said, we will have to move on, and hopefully we might see some attacking football next season instead of the boring backward and sideways mind numbingly dull dross we have seen for the majority of his tenure at Wigan Athletic.

So he`s spineless because he`s left but you are glad he`s gone because he plays dross football.

So you wanted him to stay like he did when he turned Villa and Liverpool down and continue being fed what you considered dross football ?

What would you be sayin if he stayed ? The bloke can`t win with you
If he had stayed, I would have said to him, ‘Well done for showing loyalty, and trying to put right the balls up you caused by playing such tippy tappy boring negative football.
‘You have another chance now Bob, don’t be as pig headed and try to change it around a bit, you never know it might work like it did in the last four Cup matches’.
The bloke couldn’t win generally anyway ;)

Like horc though I find myself in the unusual position of agreeing with Bicky on this one. Bob has shown us that when the chips are down loyalty and football don’t really mix and personal interest always wins the day.
If DW tomorrow got offered the £100m he was looking for for the club, do you think he’d stick around to get us back up?

We could of used this thread to put our differences aside and unite as one under whoever the new manager is .

Come on Salford, where would the fun be in that?? ;)

Anyone seriously considering Graeme Jones needs their head looked at, including Whelan.

Mick Mcarthy might get us up, but we’d then have to sack him and find someone else to keep us up. Same goes for Warnock.

Possibly Coppell or even Coleman, but ideally Di Matteo or Poyet.

Or how about Rafa? ;)

Why?

He has more experience than some of the names being banded about on here.
Really? How much of an influence hs he really been and what experience does he have to manage? It’d be Chris Hutchings all over again.
Remember the first couple of seasons when nobody could fathom why Bob had him as an assistant as he had no experience and when it looked as if they didn’t even communicate.

That said I also wouldn’t touch Carra or anyone else with no managerial experience with a bargepole

Apart from Golobart and Joel I think every other name I’ve listed is under contract.
And if we use the sale of McArthy, compo and parachutes then we have cash for more players.

Never said we’d come back up first time though ;)

Agrred – it’d be intersting to see how well he does wherever he goes as it should be somewhere with more money and better players…but somehow I doubt that will be enough. Look at Rodgers – the only reason he managed to do “so well” was because Suarez got him out of jail time after time.

Tell Everton or wherever Roberto goes to to get fooked if they think they’re nabbing any of our players…bar maybe McArthy who we can use to fund at least 4 new players.

Secure:

Joel. Al Habsi
Ramis, Golobart
McArthur, Watson, Espinosa, Jones, Gomez
Kone, Maloney, Macmanaman, Dicko

Find: 3 CBs, RWB, LWB, LW, RW, Striker

Play passing football, but not always build from the back
Shoot more often and test defences/keepers, looking for the rebound/second phase
Don’t fanny around with short corners and crap free kicks.
Invest in young, hungry, Britsh talent.
Take Europe seriously.
Do everything I possibly can to win the hearts of the fans and maintain strong attendances.

Mixed feelings too, but definitely more on the annoyed and disappointed side of the fence. He has left us with a lot of unfinished business and should have at least had the decency to try and put right the wrongs.

I also think that by staying in England and possibly stealing our players that he’ll be rubbing our faces in it…and I don’t think any new manager will have the same ambition to build on his foundations.

He said himself that the club is in an excellent position for a promotion campaign – I wonder then if he’ll have the decency leave our players alone and not subject himself to the same “Judas” jeers he got from Swansea. Somehow I doubt it.

He was on the bench.

Why we haven’t played him though is beyond me. Even when Kone was away at the ACN he still didn’t get a look in.

Must be something Bob doesn’t like the look of, but keeps him on the bench just in case, as we have no one else.

Tactics wrong right from the start. Should not have tinkered with a winning side and at the very least started with the side that finished vs West Brom. Inclusion of Caldwell was baffling.

We threw away any more talk of positives when it went to 2-2.

The only thing we have going for us now is losing the cup and gaining retribution by beating Arsenal and Villa.

what a load of utter shyte that was, many of those on the pitch looked very disinterested and couldn’t be arsed
and some where not good enough to actually be on the pitch
i really feel sorry for those fans going to the final as i feel it could end up being a cricket score after that showing
anyway good luck in the championship next year think you will need it
bye now

Don’t bother supporting us when we come straight back up. Oh, hold on, you never have anyway.

Nonsense bluenon. If they lose tonight and we win tomorrow then they’re only 2 points off the drop. They’ll be looking at tonight’s game to all but seal safety.

If going a goal down is what motivates the team to step up a gear and grind out a result then I’ll take that at the moment. Not good for anyones nerves though!

Still confused as to where this idea that Jones has more defensive ability than the rest of the midfielders currently at our disposal has come from…

Same.

However, I do recall him playing at left CB earlier this season and he actually had a really good game. Can’t for the life of me remember who it was against.

Might have been Reading?
Thats not how I recall it.

From memory he played at LWB when Jeany B was injured.

I may be wrong though, it wouldnt be the first time.
He has played LWB this season and I think it was in place of JB – hence why he might be able to slot into a back 4/5 if needed.

Sounds like Alcaraz and Golobart are nearing returns though which, if true, is outstanding news.
