and forshaw is one of many bad signings by rosler

How can he win Div1 Player Of The Year award then be so poor on a regular basis ?. If we drop down keep him , it must be his level
What do we do with him in the meantime because he is shite!
Agreed. Dop him and put Espinoza in

Taking plates to the chippy? They were still doing that at Maureen Gray’s on Gidlow Lane last time I went on a Friday night a few years ago.

Maybe it’s just me that’s sold out then. We’re pretty posh in Stubshaw – or Saint Ub-shaw, as we probably should call it these days ;)

Get Grant Holt back in the team and play Delort or Waghorn alongside him.
It’s got to be worth a try as what we have seen so far this season with one striker just isn’t working.

Hudderfield fan as work says he wouldn’t be heartbroken if Holt left.

To quote: ‘He had a good couple of games but he’s nothing special’ – so I wouldn’t go pinning my hopes on him being the missing jigsaw piece.
You may be right as there may be more than one piece missing but I’m sure we would be a bit more dangerous going forward with a recognised goal scorer supported by another out and out forward.
He certainly couldn’t be any less prolific than those we currently have but I have to say, when he was here and playing, I didn’t recognise him as the goalscorer he was at previous clubs. Let’s hope, if he does come back, that his Espinoza-like woefulness was all down to his spat with Rosler.

Griff is only in it for the makeup sex!

I have no choice but to make up sex, these days

Hussssssh!!. That buffoon paid us about £6m for a forward who has spent less than 4 mins on the field since he arrived at Goodison.

Maloney is out of contract in the summer and is the wrong side of 30.

According to some on here, he didn’t try one iota under Rosler, but bust a gut for Scotland. If that is true, lets get a million dabs for him and move on.
He will spend more time bench warming, than David Fairclough ever did for Liverpool. Lack of game time will then see him being overlooked by Strachan. You just know that will happen if he goes.

Having said all that, if he signs a 2 or 3 year deal with us, I’ll be quite happy with that. :)

So, he’s the wrong side of 30 but it’s OK for him to sign a 3 year deal with us?
Exactly, he’s wrong side of 30 for somebody to spend money on a transfer fee for him but there will be no transfer fee if we extend his contract. Fuck me these thick wannabe authors.
Yeah, and he’ll play for nothing for us for those two or three year, wont he?

I think you’ve still got the King of Thick crown, my friend. Anyway, no matter, you’ll have changed your mind tomorrow.

Oh yeah, how does someone who’s already written three books become a wannabe author? Don’t bother answering, just refer back to that King of Thick thing.
Well, after a week of all standing as one to defend our wonderful club normal service has resumed. Welcome back C L
Standing side by side with our wonderful club is one thing, with some of our intellectually-challenged supporters is quite another. He knows I love him, really ;)

I would never boo any of our players.

He will have to do a lot better than he did when was here before though, because he wasn’t very good – whatever the reason.

in reply to: Clarke Carlisle #136273
Clarke Carlisle is one of the most boring commentators around and I’ve never understood how he gets on in punditry.
It’s very easy for people to jump onto this bandwagon, forgetting all the good Whelan has done for sport generally….

It is very easy for people to jump on, but I’m afraid he started the engine and opened the door for them to hop in.

in reply to: NOW WE REALLY NEED #136272
What we need is a forward who can put the ball i’nt onion bag.
What’s Sir Andrew Liddell doing these days !!

Talk today of Holt possibly coming back. Be interesting to see, if he does, whether he performs better than he did in his first spell

in reply to: So which is worse ? #136271
Which is worse ? 3 private text or Berahino ?

West Brom football star Saido Berahino arrested for drink driving

Lets see how the FA deal with a high profile premiership player caught pissed behind the wheel, excellent example to the kids of today.

After Lee Hughes (and assault) and Luke McCormick and countless other footballers who have been caught DD’ing over the years you think the FA would do something and send out a stronger message to the kids of today.
If anyone has lost relative or friend murdered by someone drink driving then only you will truly know how this destroys peoples life’s and something needs to be done regarding high profile players who think its OK to drink drive in there £100,000+ cars.

If he is found guilty, ban him from any football activity for the same amount of time he gets banned from driving. Let the FA make a stance and show all the consequences if caught drink driving and how it will ruin others life’s and your own.

I doubt it, they’ll probably ban MacKay for 3 private text and the same goes for Whelan’s stupid remarks while Berahino will more than likely get a couple of grand fine (that should hurt) and a 12 month ban. At least someone will get a job chauffeuring him around for 12 months
Saying that, I heard Liverpool are after him, let him go there,,, that’s the same as banning him from football

Or, you could just calm down until/if they do charge Mackay.

in reply to: Roger Espinoza: A retraction #136257

Looks like we have a new scapegoat in Forshaw.

Didn’t think he was all that bad, to be fair. He’s not likely to shine much playing in a defensive two, particularly when his partner, McCann, is a player with a tendency to get friend a bit more. That means he has to sit and do all the boring stuff that nobody appreciates.

Still, what do I know… I’m the only one who can’t see Espinoza’s nailed on £20m move to Chelsea coming off in January.

In the same respect, not many can see what Forshaw has done to justify a £4m move to WAFC, my main problem with Forshaw, which has nothing whatsoever to do with what role he fills in the team, is his passing ability which is dire for a player who came to us with some sort of reputation.

After your protestations about Espinoza’s ability how can you then accuse others of making Forshaw the “new scapegoat”, Espinoza came to us on a free transfer is one of the lower paid members of the premier league squad still with us, has some faults, but has always given his all and brought much more to the table than in his time with us than any of Rosler’s signings have done to date including Forshaw.
Do you even know what scapegoat means, or are you just twisting things again to suit an argument you want to start?

I have never said that Espinoza is the cause of all our problems (or scapegoat) just that I don’t think he is anywhere near as good as lots of people seem to make out.

As for Forshaw, I am not convinced yet about him yet, either. But I think he shows some promise in that holding position. I don’t recall his ball retention and distribution being anwyere near as bad as Espinoza’s on Saturday but I wasn’t watching him as closely as I was watching the whirling dervish.
Twisting, wanting to start an argument and accusations of not knowing what a word means, why do you turn everything nasty, I was perfectly polite in my response to you but you can’t deal with any disagreement to your opinion.

Every man and his dog knows Espinoza’s faults, but many also see the positives within what he does, if he was perfect he would not be playing for us in the first place, a team is made up of differing elements, and he does have something to offer, his passing on Saturday was poor but only as bad as Roslers marquee signing who cost 4 million quid, he also created a sitter for ‘the real waste of space in our team’ Fortune to sky high and wide, he also was the person who instigated our other main chance that McCann could not convert, but you fail to acknowledge that choosing to rant about his negatives and that is the reason I find your scapegoat description of Forshaw rather strange.
I wasn’t turning it nasty at all, and nothing in my post suggests it. So stop trying to be deliberately argumentative, That may sound rich coming from me but I’m not going to be goaded into ridiculous arguments with you any more. Far better thins to do.

Every man and his dog knows Espinoza’s faults

But they don’t do they, that was percisely my point?!! The East Stand massive, and some other deluded individuals, think he’s an absolute world beater which is patently not true.

Yes, he created “a” chance for Fortune. He was playing in the hole, the creative role between the defensive midfielders, thw two wider midfielders and the striker. I’d like to think that he created more than ‘a’ chance. You can bet your life Jordi would have done.

Finally, I never said Forshaw was a scapegoat, nor Espinoza, for that matter. I simply said it is clear that the knives are out for Forshaw him and that OTHERS are making him a scapegoat. But again, facts, story, in the way and all that, eh?.

in reply to: Clarke Carlisle #136252

So the MacKay text regarding “money slip through a ***s hand”, I left the words out incase it offended anyone (ffs).

So lets say the agent in question was not Jewish but Scottish, Scottish been the brunt of all “tight with cash” jokes since the dawn of time. Would the text have created the same amount of uproar if the text said “money slip through a Jocks hands” , ?? or is Jock now banned and Jockeys have to be called horsemen ??

I noticed a few 1000 Spurs fans singing Yids at Hull, ahhhh but that’s OK , are they exempt ? or is it just because there’s so many ?.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yid

I have never heard as much bollox in my life over something as trivial as all this shite.

My heads scrambled with all this

Well, who’da thowt!
Well done. Have you no colouring in you can be getting on with while we have some grown-up discussions?

in reply to: Martinez after Maloney #136251
I like Maloney as a player, but mainly for fitness reasons we only saw the best with him for a short time.
I would be surprised if another contract offer was even on the table. His wage demands will be too high for us right now and his fitness is questionable.
My hope is that he stays fit and contributes to our climb up the table until his contract runs out.

That sounds about right. I’m sure the lad will be after one last pay day if he can get it. A couple of years as an Everton back-up player may be just what he wants.

True Martin but a more worrying fact is that only 12% of teachers in primary schools are men.Is it now time to block applications for teaching posts in primary schools from women in this rewarding and well paid proffesion?

What’s worrying about that?
