Late late winner get in there !!!!
We needed that big time :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I’m looking forward to Match of the Day for the first time in a long time.
And obviously has no idea what we the fans think of him
You certainly do not think, speak nor act in my name………neither do you in the name of the thousands of true Wigan Athletic fans in the town.
………maybe for a few cynical, keyboard trolls who have nothing better to do than sit around in darkened rooms, alone, with little but the illumination of their screen to keep them company.
Quite honestly, I bet he doesn’t give a shiney shite what you and a couple of your cyber friends think…………(if indeed this insignificant comment ever reached him)
…………and neither do I.
oh!……..
Micky I’m afraid apart from the Bob can do no wrong numpties on this sight Iam yet to speak to a Tics mon who thinks he’s got a clue. We are a team in decline and have been for two and a half years and Bob has to take responsibility for that. For the first season every time we got beat he blamed Steve Bruce for his bad signings, but was happy to take the credit when we won. I don’t hear him admitting that we are struggling now because his signings have been naff, and if your honest he has signed some shite.
Wish he was still here, we would certainly have picked up more points.
And obviously has no idea what we the fans think of him
Blunder referee Andre Marriner has been dumped from this weekend’s Barclays Premier League list as punishment for allowing Blackburn’s controversial goal at Wigan.Thats OK then.
Never understand whythey do that?
It annoys me as how does that help us??? a public flogging outside the DW would be more to my liking.
If you want a classic under bruce here goes –
A game that we actually lost 3-2 v liverpool away 2008, this was the best ever performance i have ever seen from a wigan athletic side under any manager, 2 stunning goals from zaki, a display of power, pace and skill that silenced the scousers for 77 minutes until a refereeing boo boo far worse than any seen on saturday saw valencia sent off for enchroaching from a free kick – when TV replays showed, and everyone at the ground knew hadnt even happened.
This one incident gave liverpool some impetus and a foothold in a game they were dead and buried in, an equaliser followed and a last minute winner broke our hearts. It will never take away how good we were that day – within days palacious and heskey had departed and that quality never repeated.
I find it very amusing that you select one of our great performances under Bruce and its one that we concede 3 sloppy goals. Chuckle brother and the Birdman have a chance yet me thinks. ;)
Against a half decent Liverpool team not a 10 man bag of shite like Blackburn. Oh and we were away.
Ah we should use a smoke screen, that might help the back four thanks wiganmon.Your persuasive arguments are winning me over.
The way we defend it looks like we play behind a smoke screen.
Where are these spineless martinez haters at the match? They claim they are there in abundance but i dont hear em. Chants of ‘Roberto Martinez’ rang round the ground at points. I believe i speak for most fans who would rather see Bobby as our manager next season no matter what league we are in.bigroy us Martinez haters are Wigan Athletic fans and for 90 minutes we support our team that is why you don’t hear anything. Also we are shite and demonstrating against Bob will not make them play better, will it!!!!!
Its a shame people cant just enjoy football, as the game saturday didnt go our way but it was a great day out.
This wigmon and hindleyblue are really them two owd gits who sat in the balcony on the Muppet Show. I bet they’re a barrel of laughs to be out on a satdy neet with.
And I bet your a laugh a minute every Saturday when we loose and you talk utter bollox about how great everything is.
Maybe but that actually is a disaster unlike the relegation of Wigan Athletic
I have to say I will be devastated when we go down.
Dont worry take it like a man
I will, and next year I’ll be there again with my season ticket,
How anyone can still back the clown is beyond me he has one way to play and it doesn’t work for us.
It’s disrepectful shite like that that gets people’s backs up, mate. Clown? He’s probably forgotten more about football than you’ll ever know, is a damn site more intelligent than and, if he could be arsed logging on this forum, would probably laugh his cock off at you.
Fair play for getting behind the team, though. But then again, that’s your job in this organisation.
By the way, I assume you weren’t there yesterday as you say he only knows one way to play? Or is the ability to spot a different formation something else you can’t do?
I have absolutely no respect for Bob as a football manager he has no idea how to pick a team and find a formation that his team can play. If you or I were as bad at our jobs as he is at his we would have been sacked ages ago and rightfully so.
Have you seen the objectives that DW has given to RM for his role as manager of this club? No, neither have I, but as he hasn’t been sacked you have to presume that his boss is happy with what he is doing. Read into that what you will.
Griff how can he be happy??
Maybe but that actually is a disaster unlike the relegation of Wigan AthleticI have to say I will be devastated when we go down.
A disaster ????Ask the people of Christchurch what a disaster is
Should that not be on the none football forum???

One swallow doesn’t make a Summer and as you will probably remember it wasn’t that good of a Summer anyway ! The back 4 would give the Keystone Cops a run for their money in the comedy of errors stakes !! We have taken 1 point from the 4 teams just above us. 1point out of a possible 12 from your closest relegation rivals !! Helloooooooo !!! Coffee smell up wake !!! Is there anybody home !!!!
Phil, you and the rest of your lot are like a broken fucking record, mate.
None of us thinks we’re a particularly good team. None of us thinks that Roberto is the best manager if the world. None of us is under any illusion that this current form is relegation form and there is a better than even chance we will, finally, go down this season.
None of us would be too unhappy if Whelan ditched his pragmatic financial strategy and went out and bought a couple of world class defenders on about £80k a week, and none of us would object greatly if the FA opened up the transfer window a little but early to allow him do it as soon as possible. But it isn’t going to happen is it, so we’re stuck with what we’ve got.
We also know that Whelan’s oft-stated intention is that he will not sack Roberto so, whether you like it or not, you’re stuck with him too. It’s therefore moot whether another manager would fare any better with this set of players and therefore pointless to continually post “Martinez Out” or “Sack him now” because it looks like it simply isn’t going to happen.
So, as fans, you, I and everyone else has a choice.
We can get behind the team and the club and try to help them to survive this predicament, however remote a possibility that might seem at the moment.
Or, we can simply spend the time slagging off the manager, bringing up the same ineptitudes over and over again, forgetting that we are merely a collection of IT Project Managers, window cleaners (no disrespect), fishermen, doleites, students and other assorted dickheads who have not the first idea of how to run a professional football club*
I know my place and how I can best help my club, so I’ll go with option A. You carry on as you see fit.
* I’ve opened a book on who will be the first one to respond with “neither does Martinez”
So what your saying Griff is that we should make do with what we have? Sorry Griff but sometimes a change at a club works wonders and lets have it right even if the change was a disaster how could it be worse?
