He was cack.
Abolutely :D :D :D
For what its worth, I think this is the season we lose our top flight status. We were lucky last season that the teams below us were so god dam awful and cant see it hapening again. Any more of those ‘one off’ thrashings that we had last year and confidence will take a dive, especially if it happens early on in the season.I am still not convinced by the Bob revolution but there are at least 3 teams in the Premier League worse than us.After another hard season we will be preparing for season number 7 in the Premier League next season :D :D :D
Still waiting
nothing wrong with scotland he just needs time to settle in.
If we only get 8 mill for n’zogbia it’s an absolute joke. We allegedly paid nearly 7 mill for him when he was not even playing for Newcastle and now he has just had a great season.
It should be at least 15 mill and even then in this day and age that’s cheap. If Milner is going to leave Villa for close to 30 mill why not?
21 July 2010 at 5:02 pm in reply to: I Do NOT Like What I Am Seeing And Hearing From The Club. #40685Thats what worries me our chairman has 7 weeks to sell our best players. Sunderland paid over 10 mill for Turner from Hull and we give them Titus for 1 mill WTF is going on. Someone explain to me how this is allowed to happen you can’t get a shoite Championship striker for less then 2.5 mill, and we know.
Have you not grasped it yet the player more than likely wants to go ,so shall we keep the unhappy player on the money he his earning in the reserves or sell for a bit of a profit and try and buy a replacementSo Titus is only worth £750,000 when still under contract and Alcaraz wants to come does he?????
It’s alright selling Titus and if his wages are 50k per week Whelan I’m sure will go help him pack BUT!!!!!! have we anyone of real proven Premiership quality.
Sorry but IMO it’s a shocking decision 1 mill for a player of proven quality and still under contract. Hope Bob doesn’t live to regret it
A team who Martinez can rely on to play with pride, passion, commitment and no little skill as opposed to last seasons spectacle of players turning up when they so pleased. Not sure how you can come out with a statement like that after the cack we watched last year when most of the poor players were Bob’s signings.
Also not sure the move is right for Titus he’s already as popular as clap at Sunderland, one mistake and he’s gonna get buried. He should remember his other North East experience and stay at a club were he is wanted.
Latics get pre-season off to a flyer with 3-2 win over Swedish outfit
New signing Mauro Boselli was on the mark twice in Latics’ first friendly of the pre-season schedule, with Charles N’Zogbia dding a third in a 3-2 win over Swedish side Ostersunds.
Finding the back of the net either side of half-time Boselli gave an early indication of his goal-scoring ability in the friendly encounter that marks the end of an intense training week in Sweden.
N’Zogbia’s finish proved to be the winner with the Swedes coming back from 3-0 down to score twice and provide a nervy finish, but Latics’ strong performance resulted in a satisfactory start to their pre-season fixtures.
The team prepare to travel home today after a productive week and will getr themselves ready for the next game away to Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night where they’ll be sporting the new 2010/11 home kit for the first time.
Boselli gonna be another Zaki?…Good pre-season and whale after christmas?
How about we give the guy a chance?
DANIEL de Ridder will return to Wigan this weekend with a much clearer idea of whether he has a first-team future at Wigan Athletic.
The Dutchman has entered the final year of his contract, and is hoping his efforts on the four-day training camp in Sweden have persuaded Roberto Martinez he is worthy of keeping on.
De Ridder has struggled to nail down a spot during his two years at Wigan and spent the second half of last term on loan at Hapoel Tel Aviv.
He enjoyed his spell in Israel, his mother’s birthplace, and recovered from an early injury setback to help Hapoel record a league and cup double.
However, De Ridder is determined to give it one last shot this summer to prove he can cut it in Europe – ideally with Wigan.
“I would love to stay here at Wigan – but only if I am playing regularly,” De Ridder told the Evening Post.
“That’s what every player wants and that’s my only goal at the moment.
“I will be speaking to Roberto, and whatever comes out of that chat will make the situation a bit clearer for myself. Then we’ll make the right decision for all parties.
“The career of a footballer is so short, and I cannot waste any more time. That’s my feeling. If I’m not going to be playing, then I hope the manager will be honest about it – and I think he will be.”
De Ridder’s grounding could not have been better – a graduate of the famous Ajax academy alongside close pals Nigel de Jong, Rafael van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder.
He represented Holland all the way through to Under-21 level, and played alongside Robin van Persie in the Dutch Olympic side.
But, since leaving Ajax for Celta Vigo in the summer of 2005, De Ridder’s career has failed to match that of his colleagues, and he now stands at a career crossroads.
However, he showed his willingness to impress by accepting the move to Hapoel in the hope it could kickstart his career, and admits the loan could not have gone any better.
“I enjoyed my time in Israel very much, although I had a bit of bad luck for the first month when I damaged my quad,” he added.
“But I managed to play more or less every game for the last two-and-a-half months, and scored a few important goals.
“It was a successful season for the club as well. We managed to win the championship for the first time in 10 years and we also won the cup final.
“The lifestyle was also fantastic in Israel. Tel Aviv is a big, modern city, right on the beach and the weather is great. It’s a very good life.
“Overall I got what I wanted out of the move. Basically, I got the pleasure of playing back again.
“I just wasn’t happy sitting in the stands at Wigan. It’s the worst thing for a footballer, and I had to get playing again.
“I’ll have to wait and see what happens now.”
Martinez has yet to decide whether De Ridder has a future at Wigan, although he has been impressed with the player’s application since returning to the club.
“Dan came back from his experiences in Israel and has been working hard,” Martinez said.
“Regarding the future, we’ll take it from there.”
Really think he deserves a chance to prove himself even more tbh….Good player in my eyes but sure we have to wait on the booss to think what he is going to do with him!
Not good enough in my opinion he has ability but is to slow and pretty light weight would like to see him and Kapo go to free up space and money on the wage bill to bring in new blood.
FilanChimbonda De Zeeuw(c) Jackson Baines
Liddell Bullard Cattlemole McCulloch
Roberts Ellington
Liddell and Ellington never played for us in the Premier League and Matt Jackson was finished when he did. My team would be

Chimbonda De Zeeuw Bramble Baines
Valencia Cattermole Palacios N’Zogbia
Roberts Rodallega
The silence is defening…………Hope its not `knocked up` by VizWear!
If it is at least we will be seen in the dark may save Big Dave money on electric for the floodlight’s
It’s got rag all to do with money. Rooney and the rest would play for England for nowt. Fans have a right to boo if they want to and for the best part it’s out of pure frustration. The players should also have a right to respond. Do you really think they went out there and made a conscious decision to play badly? I’m glad Rooney said what he said. It shows he cares, not that you should need convincing about that anyway. Blame the manager, blame the ball, and especially blame the press who brainwash people into believing England can win the World Cup, when in reality we are just a very ordinary team with very ordinary players. Get used to it. Get behind the team for the next match and hope Capello and the players get it right this time. If we win, everything is fine for a while. We get to watch another game and fly our little flag and go the pub and get bladdered and talk bollux to the next bloke and boo again when we lose.
That’s football.Sammy don’t talk shoite!!!!!! We have played the US and Algeria there are no excuses we should beat these teams no matter how you dress it up.
Something needs to change in our Country as the national team is turning into a joke although I’m finding it hard to laugh it’s more embarrassing
I think you may be underestimating the buying power of Man City and the determination of its owners for success.
I forecast Man. City for second place.
I sincerely hope you’re wrong.[/quote]
Why?? is it not like Dave Whelan buying Wigan Athletic in the old 4th Dvision when all of a sudden we had money???? City have owners who are rich beyond belief and if they spend and win titles is that not what United, Chelsea, Liverpool have been doing for years.
I say good luck to them it’s about time someone broke into the top four and made the league less predictable.
