Poor subs in my opinion and cooky nearly cost us the points.
No need for Clarke to come off he looked fine (irrespective of what the ipad said) and was a handful. Garner came on and did nothing as usual.
Pilkington had a quiet game for sure, but Gibson just isn’t in the same league. Stray passes from the moment he came on and contributed in us being under pressure.
If fox did have a hamstring problem then it didn’t hamper him running off the pitch. Fox could be that calming influence our defence needs?
We played well today up until cooks subs, was a bit bemused with them, and QPR were on top for last 15mins or so.
I’m no lover of Naismith, but his throughball to Jacobs for our second was brilliant. Had one of his better games today.

There used to be something called “sportsmanship” in this country, and that’s something that should be taken into consideration by the EFL / FA.

Nobody wants us to fail but it does seem to be a Wigan thing to moan and criticise each and every little thing and then offer next to no praise when it’s warranted. A win over a better side usually results in them listing how many key men they were missing and that they weren’t at their best as opposed to us simply being better.It’s not just a Wigan thing egg it’s the same with most fans. Villa fans were a lot worse than us yesterday. West brom fans were just as bad when we beat them at our place.

Reece James is a good call. He’s fast, strong on the ball & his quality makes him stand out from the rest. Bigger things to come for that lad.
No, but we did have to watch McGinn taking on the mantle of Grealish AND spending most of the first half trying to get Morsy sent off as well!!!!(in reply to your earlier post jimmyc)!
He was at it all game Harry and when Morsy got booked I thought that would spoil his game. But Morsy got the better of McGinn over 90mins.
For the first time in a while we kept our shape and I could see what formation we had.
Morsy was superb today, never stopped and got the better of McGinn all game. He normally runs their midfield but was outclassed today.Doesn’t it just make your weekend. Didn’t see this coming, great result and even better performance. None stop for 90mins. Villa couldn’t cope with our pressing.
