Beausejour tenth in all season stats for assists in Premier League. Not bad for what many believe is a fat waster on the wing!
Not quite sure why you’ve mentioned Beausejour here unless it’s a veiled reference to the notion he provides a substantial amount of cover for Figueroa. However, that statistic is not a surprise to me. I’m also not surprised no one has mentioned his superb pass for Kone’s second goal yesterday because that would mean a good number of numpties on here having to back track on their opinion of him being “a fat waster on the wing”.
Let’s have it right Sammy, Beausejour has hardly set the prem alight this season has he. He had one of his better games against Reading for sure but for too many games this season he has been average.
They’re due about 46 penalties apparently. Every time they get beat they should have had at least one.Keep Suarez quiet and they’ve nothing.
Wouldn’t exactly agree with that one Egg. They are one of the highest scorers in the league this season home & away so we’ve gotta be careful. Sturridge has pace to burn which won’t suite Caldwell.
That said they do concede so if we play well again and press them there could be a few goals in this gameWas a bit sceptical about Scharner coming back in but it’s looking like a shrewd move. Good addition to the squad and could well play a key role in us staying up.
According to Mail today , Figueroa is heading to West Ham at the end of the season after deciding against renewing his Wigan contract when he becomes a free agent in the summer.
Great couple of seasons when her 1st came but no great loss if he goes based on this seasons performances.I thinks he’s had a decent season this time around so would like him to stay personally.
Out our curiosity, if he does goes then who would you play in that position? or bring in even?
It looks like he is turning it around in his first season with hull, very under rated manager in my humble opinion. Not so sure he is under rated? His record in the prem isn’t brilliant. If he gets Hull up to the prem and sticks with them more importantly, then he may prove me wrong?
Don’t think he will start as our starting eleven never seems to change. Personally I’m not sure he is prem standard but it might not be a bad thing if he was started to try and freshen up the side. Stick him on the left wing and drop Bo, can’t be any worse surely?
Agree with the semi bit. But i couldn’t not go to a semi at Wembley, just in case we lost. I’d be kicking myself for not seeing us at Wembley.
By the way, the new Wembley is great and knocks spots off the old one
Point taken ,but by then they should be like caged lions baying for blood  and injury free.Lol – Maybe you should be in the dressing room at half time giving the players that pep talk :cheer:
Would have been given at Old Trafford for sure. Played well today for me. 58% possession second half with little goal threat says it all. Just watched Swansea on MOTD. They play similar to us but have real cutting edge. Still think with more belief and if we get Kone firing we will be OK. We are a better side than Reading and Villa but I guess talks cheap!A bit late but, thought exactly the same BR about Swansea. They like Southampton get bodies forward when attacking putting the opposition on the back foot. That’s more how we played at the backend of last season to great effect.
I have been one in the past at this stage of a cup comp to be very critical of RM tactics and resting players or giving the fringe players an opportunity.Arsenal away Tuesday night still sticks in my mind (get over it).however IMO I would like to see a rested, fresh and the strongest latics side possible on the field against Reading and give it to them and maybe 3 much needed points. Beating one of these sides on Sunday will not create to much of a winning mentality for the premiership game IMO.Fresh and rested team with no injuries ,I would rather give the premiership run in a bloody good go rather than a cup run.Who knows our fringe players may rise to the occasion and win anyway. n :cheer:Rested and fresh for the Reading game… That game is a full week after the FA cup tie Eastander. That might have some credence if we had a heavy fixture list and weren’t already losing week in week out.
And how much stick would Bob get if he put out most of the first team in the cup and a few of them got injured? Plenty, I would think. He would get NO stick from me as that would not be his fault. Very unlikely that will happen, but people do seem to use that as an excuse nowadays.
My comments were based around Bobs team selections for Forrest and West Ham (better teams than Macc etc) as he had a more even mix of first teamers and reserves / youngsters. That worked well and will be needed if we draw Leicester
Tough one to call as Bob certainly sticks to his guns and doesn’t wane under criticism. He uses the FA cup to give the fringe players a run out but I reckon he just might have 4/5 first teamers in for this one? Especially if we draw Leicester
Probably debated this for the last nine years but here goes.
I only go to home games due to family and cost (cue sudworth) so over the last 9 years have seen us win on average 5 times a year. Is this really what I want from a saturday afternoon?
Relegation would see us more competitive and get me out the house 4 more times and have that good feeling on a Saturday night more often.
I am honestly now bored with losing and would like to watch something different, I know there’s no guarantee and we could well free fall. However think I say this every year then we beat utd and I say that one game makes the other 18 shite worth it.
My tin hats on but relegation I welcome not fear.
Yes get your tin hat on you fekin band waggoner. We need support through thick and thin not just when we are doing well. Stay at home my friend and we’ll see you again if we stay up. Thanks for your support but it would have been good to see us through the bad times. goodpost
Flamin hell JR is it tampax week
Whos fault is it where having bad times!!!!!
Bleedin eck ace not heard that saying for ages. :cheer:
I just wish some fans would get a sense of reality into their lives.
When the going gets tough the soft shytes moan like fek. They will be the same fans who go missing at the end of the season if we stay up once again.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to support a winning team but not quite as easy to support a struggling one. That’s what makes this game of football the best and most followed sport in the universe. It’s also what sorts out the proper fans from the fickle ones.
Bloody hell fat fan your still missing the point I will have one last go then I give up.
I have watched them for over 30 years I will be watching them next year but I would just prefer to enjoy a bit more success if that has to be in a lower division on a more level playing field then so be it.
Give up is the best option Lowey.
Personally I’m not so sure dropping down a league will make much difference. You’ve only got to look at our results against lower opposition over the years Bob has been in charge and it aint good. Until Bob changes his style of footy to a more positive way then we won’t score many goals in any game. They appear to be showing some fight, something that we don’t seem to have too much of this time round ! Goal difference took a bit of a bashing today against a side that had been poor of late !
Was it Chelsea we played today whom one player costs more than the DW plus all the squad put together get a grip mon
So how come Brentford & Reading could get a result against them?
Didn’t play too badly overall I thought. Defensively we were poor but managed five shots on target, more than against Southampton.
Ali has got to start trying to push some of them saves around the post rather than back into the area.. -
