I agree, Di Santo looked less isolated today and was well supported by Moses and Beausajour who put lots of crosses in today.
Wished we’d gamble on making a run for those crosses more though.
Thought we were slightly more direct in our play and our midfield and defence looked stronger.
No problem, i got the hurricane right in 1987 didn’t i?
Well on the Met office website it actually says its due to start earlier. Be suprised if they didn’t consider calling it off knowing heavy snow was due to fall. Might be that they get advised by the police.
Might wait for a more concrete forecast in the morning. Seems there is definitely heavy snow coming, just when and how much.
The other good point made is the one about getting a good defensive base first. As was said there is no comparing Huth and Shawcross to Caldwell and Alcaraz. Problem is we’ve gone for the likes of Huth in the past and either they won’t come or we can’t afford the fee and/or their wages.
I don’t know but i’m coming round to the thinking that with the obvious lack of funds we have, this may be our only chance of developing good players. Whether these players will leave for better clubs and we become a feeder club i don’t know.
The job is bigger than Bob though and he needs all the help he can get.
Think that might be him. Think he split up with his missus shortly after!
Don’t know many men who would get away with that as a wedding venue though. Although the year i got married i got a season ticket instead of a wedding ring. It was the first year in the prem aswell, better memories than a piece of metal.
Your not the Tyldesley latic who had his wedding at the JJB and Arjan De Zeeuw was his best man?
You forgot to mention we need a :silly: new MANAGER
The thing is we have suggested RM having an experienced right hand man and we have raised concerns over several short comings that the World and his dog can see but the powers that be have felt fit to leave things as they are ! The crowds are dropping and if the powers that be don’t realize that a football club is about the fans then they don’t deserve to receive the fans hard earned cash or cash that could be put to other uses !
I think you may find that the crowds have dropped since the very first season, its not just happened during the Martinez reign. I know quite a few lads who got bored after the first 2-3 seasons once they had seen the likes of United, Arsenal and Chelsea grace the DW once or twice.
You’re beginning to sound like Dave from Skem on the bragging stakes on how much you earn. For the record, my window cleaner charges £2.00 for the downstairs windows and £3.50 for the lot. He reckons he’s not on £7 an hour by the time he’s done the cleaning and took just as long trying to collect his money. Perhaps you have set up an account whereby all your customers can pay you via paypal or DD. B)
Jesus, can you send him round here i get charged £5.50 for the lot.
Here’s your new hunting ground then. Have a good life.
Thing is, we just wouldn’t know or probably won’t find out whether or not someone could do a better job because its obvious he’s staying.
If you look at the likes of Sunderland with O’Neill, they have had no extra money and he has improved the results immediately (granted he has a better squad to start off with).
Hodgson last year did the same for West Brom.I’m not saying getting you a new manager guarantees you this, and with top managers unlikely to want to come to a sinking ship it might be hard to get the quality of manager the likes of above.
Looks like we’re stuck with Martinez so we just have to hope and pray he works things round. His philosophy which is well documented relies upon getting young players and giving them the freedom to develop their skills without the usual strict parameters of get rid football. This is going to take time and i just worry if Bob has got the right people in place for this and has enough time to monitor the day to day progress of this because this is where our future hinges.
Just read his autobiography from the time he was at Swansea and he does talk alot of sense but i still believe we are his proving ground.
Jack Charlton? :P
A footballing miracle considering our current stats re goals conceded and scored, which don’t tend to lie and form a benchmark for what is likely to happen in the future unless something changes significantly.
With a manager that rarely changes anything i’d say we need a miracle.
Thats the exact point though JR, we never do that do we . Spurs had bought themselves the breathing space to make subs, let us have possession and hit us on the break.
We never have any consistency and what Beausajour? was doing for that first goal, i’ll never know. We all know barring a miracle we are going down, just depends know on how we go about making the transition with or without the current manager.
I find the old myp2p site now called http://www.wiziwig.tv is most comprehensive. Some of the streams i’ve had for away games wired through to the tv are not far of the real thing. (picture wise of course)
Don’t worry, its all part of the master plan.
For 3 seasons I’ve been trying to work out the master plan, please enlighten me.
When i find out, you’ll be the first i tell.
