I doubt any British person has ever been offended by being called a “Brit” or a Swede being called a “Swede”.
The issue here is that the terms “Paki” & “Chink”, for example, have been and still are used in derogatory terms and that is why people of those ethnic backgrounds find it so offensive.

I reckon a lot will become apparent against Boro, if we put in a great performance and get a result (don’t be surprised if we win) then it will say a lot about Rosler’s management capability.Got the makings of a tasty game; especially with 4,500 from Boro expecting an easy three points.
Personally i thought he was going to be the right man for the job, but things started going sour IMO by around march last season which has continued into this season.
If he is to go, there are only 4 managers who spring to mind:Moyes – but wigan is probably too small for him & he, too big a name for us. But you never know. He needs a job & has managed at lower league level before albeit his first managerial role.
Pulis – wouldn’t be my ideal choice, as his style of football isn’t the best. However in fairness to him he does have a good track record of getting teams promoted & maintaining teams in whatever league he gets promoted to.
Hughton – unfairly sacked by norwich IMO but decent manager at this level.
Yes, Moyes is dithering over a job at Real Sociedad; so big Dave should try his hand and make a cheeky offer. Anyway, how would pale face Moysey cope with all that sunshine; better off in a wet Wigan !

I’m with Lostock Hall Geezer on this one. Griff is the pathetic one who can’t see that Lostock is merely posing another question about Bob’s potential future success and giving his opinion on his prior success at the Latics. Are we not entitled to freedom of opinion without being bullied by Griff’s self opinionated motor mouth and bullying ego ?
