as a person who considers himself to be a lightsider i’m becoming deeply frustrated now & whereas in the past i would defend martinez, the players, coaches etc etc, there is only so much a person can take. bobby will always be a legend in my eyes as a player, but sadly, as a manager, it has not worked. even a side 3rd from bottom has played us off the park. even when we pulled it back from the free kick, i just knew we didn’t have it in us to go get an equaliser & god forbid, try & get a winner. this season is the end of wigan athletic as a premier league club.
i’m watching it at the moment & what i am seeing is shite, clueless football. we lose today & that is it. i consider myself a lightsider who is seriously beginning to get pissed off. :angry:
no its simply a bloody frustrating case of not being able to put the ball in the net, & going backwards when there are good opportunities to go forward. :angry:
no, i moved over to the east stand this season after 12 years in the west – taking advantage of the £50 season ticket for my 6 year old son.
steve johnson was the 1st black (or mixed race) person to sign for latics in my memory. i had my photo with him on the day i was mascot .v. burnley 1982. of course remember donny page then winston white (springfield park era).

i think thats a bit harsh yosser. i can think of worse managers (mr swain for instance). though i will state i am not turning to the darkside, i am now of the opinion that bobby (as nice as he is, club legend & all that) is not up to the job & “probably” will take us down.
just a thought that has just come to me, maybe the plan is to go down, so we can reduce the wage bill even further – keep hold of the youngsters we have & develop a good team in the championship & basically start again with a good young team!!!!!! its a thought, thats all.
