Im not too sure TBH nuneaton. Im usually positive, but i share the same views as vat. In fact what he posted, i was about to post, only he beat me to it. I too was going to post that my concern is when we don’t start winning the premier league or getting into the top 4, or god forbid, struggle to win the FA Cup, will the owners pull out & leave us in the mire?
Why does no one else other than vat & i have these concerns?????
I agree donny. Both massey & jacobs are pants at the moment. We should definitely try something new.
The difference between 86/87 & now vat, was there wasn’t any expectation back then. We could enjoy the ride in those days, & we should still do so now.
Be a brave person to put any great sums on us getting back into that top three.

This time last week we were dead certs amongst most on here that we were going to walk the league – as champions might i add. Two back to back defeats & it seems we’ll be lucky if we get into the play-offs according to you lot.

Are you having a moan about our cup run? Aye! I remember a time 32 years ago when we had a team striving for promotion & reaching the FA cup quarter finals. Don’t recall anyone back then saying it was a distraction. Back then we all enjoyed the ride.
I think a lot of us have got far too cocky this season. On paper we are a better team than Shrewsbury. And we also Blackburn. But it’s hitting form at the business end. Are we doing a Devon Loch? Leading all the way and then slipping up at the end?You sir, have hit the nail on the head. There has been an awful lot of cockiness this season shown by most of our supporters. Now we lose a couple & panic starts to set in.
Just do what i do guys & gals. Sit back & enjoy the ride. If we go up, we go up. If we don’t, we don’t. Either way it aint the end of the world.

Why would we not have a club?My worry egg, is if the new owner becomes bored or we as a club fail to meet his ambitions. He pulls out & leaves us in a lot of financial poop that we cant afford to repay. Thus the closure of WAFC & hence, no football club.

This takeover IMO is totally different to whelan’s takeover of 1995. When that happened i had no doubts whatsoever & actually believed greatness was just around the corner. Whelan was also a footballer. He knew the game & he was a local businessman who also knew the town.Now it is totally irresspective where the new buyer is from. Totally irrellevant! But i get the impression that we are a plaything & when all goes hong kong, this town no longer has a football team. That concerns me greatly. I sincerely hope i’m wrong, i really do.
I had a doubt when listening to wish on my way into work. Some bright spark made a comment on the guy who does the commentary – that everytime he has commentated latics have never lost. Until today :(
Im not so sure. I phoned yesterday (as i was led to believe that ST holders had until wednesday to claim their seat), & was told my seat had been taken.
My great concern is this.Say it all goes a bit ‘Hong Kong’ and he ends up leaving us in the deep doodah, and in danger.

I share the same concerns as yourself on this one vat. And i’m not buying into this belief that if it all goes hong kong, then WAFC will become a supporters run club.
I hope i’m wrong, but i too am worried.
I’m surprised that no one has mentioned anything about the new owners coming in & changing the colours of our shirts or nicknames a la victor tan.
